Boccato's Groceries — Attraction in Hermosa Beach

Franco (owner) and his team run a first-class market and deli that is loaded with fresh vegetables, delicious cuts of fresh meat (filet mignon, thick-cut bacon, homemade meatloaf, salmon, a great variety of marinated/seasoned chicken breasts and so much more!), imported Italian pasta and everything from specialty candy and ice cream to craft beer. Love nice wine? Boccato’s carries really, really nice wine: Lokoya, Dominus, etc. Looking for good booze? Boccato’s features a whole wall of high-end tequila, vodka, gin and more. TIP: grab a fruit smoothie and artisan deli sandwich on your way to the beach (ocean is one block away). Been in here a few times and the lunch selection is very good (5 stars). When it comes to breakfast, the place falls short (1 star). An egg and cheese (no meat) on 2 slices of sourdough will set you back $5.99! Most delis or convenience stores offer an egg and cheese for around $2.50, sometimes even less.

The coffee selection is limited to one thermos balancing on the edge of the soda fountain counter near the entrance. Nowhere to put the coffee down to add cream or sugar. Definitely not a priority for them.

Boccato's Is a local GEM and a welcome surprise to a new comer to the area! An extensive array of groceries from all around the area! Some super hard to find grocery products! High quality vegetables and fruit and a meat counter that cannot be rivalled in the area! Unbelievably good quality meat and produce! The deli counter has some of the very best deli meat and bread you can eat! Homemade salads that will knock your britches off! I highly suggest the chicken salad, Every bite is scrumptious!
