Had a horrible experience here today with the notary service. The role of the notary is to verify your identity, not to cross examine the contents of your document. I've been getting documents notarized for 15 years or more for professional or personal reasons and have never before been made to feel like a criminal prior to this horrible experience.
She kept stating "by the law" over and over again, implying I wasn't aware of how notarization works and made me feel like I was being criminalized for no reason. She essentially refused to notarize my document.
I took the same exact document the same day to another notary somewhere else and had it signed. They verified my identity, as per their job, and there was absolutely no issue. They simply scanned the document for completeness, verified my identity, and had me sign.

Will not be coming...
