SmartStop Self Storage

I am wishing that I looked at the reviews on this CubeSmart location sooner. Like myself, I now see that many other customers have had ongoing issues with mice.

I came to check on my unit a couple of years ago, to be met with an overwhelming, horrible foul smell which turned out to be two dead mice in my unit. Not to mention, a whole lot of droppings and urine. I had to throw away several hundred dollars worth of belongings, and what was sentimental enough to keep, I did my best to clean. I was there for 6+ hours cleaning. I only give two stars instead of one because one of the staff was kind enough to help, and my overall experience with the staff has been positive. I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who helped me out.

I returned to my unit today, and once again, mouse droppings all over the front of my unit, despite having placed a couple dozen peppermint repellent bags all around previously. I do wonder if other customers are keeping food in their units, because I can't imagine what else is causing this issue. Last time I came, one of my unit neighbors once pushed an empty Snapple bottle through the grate above their unit, so that it came over to mine. Today there was what appeared to be a baby bottle from my OTHER unit neighbor's side, filled with dried up old formula. There was also a full bag of McDonald's garbage sitting right in front one of the facility entraces, and all kinds of litter in and around the place.

Meanwhile, my monthly rent for this unit has gone up nearly 50% over the last 2-3 years, even though I'd been told that I would get a "break" on my rent on account of the "inconvenience". I will be leaving CubeSmart for good. No reason to keep giving them my business after this. Be warned, folks!
