This was my second time here and just like the last time it felt congested and the attitudes were apparent. When ordering I’m greeted by disgruntled faces and attitudes that could be felt everywhere in the room. The food is great but the service could and should be better. You could see that they show more love towards their friends who walk into the restaurant rather than new faces . Instead of being angry be glad that you have a successful business and able to employ locals. Not sure if I’ll be back but I will never tell friends coming to the area about this spot like someone did to me. If I’m spending my hard working money I’d like to be treated with respect and not waved off by the hand by employees who barely want to take my order. The lady who served me I assume was the owner who just makes up prices on minuscule items as she goes. The cashier was also rude and only handed my receipt and turned her back never stated thank you or even a goodbye nor was I greeted before taking my order. This was so disheartening I barely enjoyed the food. I’ll also post photos of the food that was heavily plated (the only thing good out of that place). I assume a lot of locals enjoy the food from this place and that’s the only reason they may still be in business. Read moreWow. The customer service here is horrendous. Human decency and respect is the bare minimum you should give a paying customer but I didn’t even receive that.. Seeing that today is a holiday, I called to ask what time they closed to be sure that the hours hadn’t changed before placing my order. I called around 6:50pm. The woman informed me that the restaurant closed at 9pm.
I said, “Okay great. I would like to place an order for pickup.” I don’t know what was so negative about my request because right after I said that, the woman SCREAMS at me telling me that I better not place an order and leave it sitting here until 9 to pick it up.... I was extremely shocked at the way she spazzed on me. And she kept yelling like I had offended her. I was so confused. You can not yell at a customer and expect them to hand you money right after that.... So now, I am at another Haitian restaurant placing my order. In the last couple of months, the quality of the food went down, the prices went up, and they give less food for the increase price. If you buy legume from there, there's maybe only two pieces of meat in there. If you bought a large plate of food, everything would be serve in large containers. Now only the rice come in the large container and the rest in small containers. With diminishing quality of food, they have the nerve to raise prices and serve less food. We stayed with them for a while through these changes, hoping that they would go back to cooking the good food they were known for. But that never happened.
