South Beach Racquet Club — Attraction in Hilton Head Island

My wife and I are HHI residents. We've enjoyed pickleball for a year and a half together playing all over the island with different groups. One of our favorites is South Beach with Mark Anders. We participate in Mark's round robin's often and see old friends and make new ones every time! When my serve went bad this last month and I needed a mental checkup and basic serve reboot, my natural call was to Mark Anders. Spent a wonderful long tennis girls weekend at South Beach Racquet Club in HHI with Brian Kiggans and a guest pro (Warren) last year (a little late in posting this). Brian and Warren were great and provided us with 9 hours of fun and challenging drills and games to wear us out and get us ready for our USTA season in Charlotte. We are staying here and they won’t let us play pickleball even though we have a hour of “complimentary” time on the court. They never said it was for tennis only. But don’t worry, it’s only $30 per hour, then another $20 for lights. The staff at the clubhouse were very rude and made sure we knew it was for “TENNIS ONLY,” in a very condescending tone.
