This is a stunning lookout point that's about 500 feet from the Halona Blowhole Lookout off of the Kalanianaole Highway. It's a little more dangerous to get to because you have to park on the roadside and either walk tight to the railing on the narrow road shoulder or hold the rail and attempt the dirt path, which I do not recommend. If insistent on visiting, go during the day, on a clear day and during the week so the traffic isn't as heavy and cars can clearly see you walking. If there is a steady stream of traffic, go to the blowhole and try again another day. Just for safety. You do not want to stop traffic on the road trying to park and traffic will make it incredibly difficult to jump back on the highway. I also suggest smaller vehicles and if the wider shoulder area isn't available to park, do not park hanging in the road. And make sure you are coming in and out of the Makai side. Don't try to park swinging in from the Mauka side and don't park on the Mauka side. Enjoy, but be safe first.

Gorgeous view of the southeastern point of the island. Parking is very limited to just a few spots at this small pull off area, you might miss it. An annual memorial service is held in November, to remember all the lost fisherman who were lost by the treacherous waves along this popular fishing area for the locals. You can enjoy a leg stretcher, get some fresh air, relax and take in the views. Beautiful deep blue water colors. You can see the Halona Cove down to the left as you look north. Across is the Halona Blowhole Lookout Parking Lot. Looking further north you can see Sandy Beach Park, and also Wawamalu Beach Park. This is a great starter if you opt to cruise up north along the eastern shore on the Kalaniala'ole Highway. It's a simple stop, won't take more than 20 minutes maximum, definitely fit it into your itinerary.

Was an unexpected stop for us, but we saw it from the road and decided to stop. It was a very beautiful shrine, and upon looking up and reading about the history and purpose of the shrine, it made it very much worth seeing. It's a very beautiful location and the view of the cliffside and ocean was wonderful. It was a peaceful spot, and I encourage anyone curious to look up and read about this shrine.
