Makiki Valley State Recreation Area — Attraction in Honolulu

The trail which we took was very easy to do yet enjoyable hiking with my family. It was safe enough for a 6 year old grandson and a couple of older adults. The trail was short and comfortable considering a mild uphill. The only discouraging part of the hike was the stinch odor of poop and odor of squatters or homeless camps upon arriving and leaving the area. Beautiful area! I wanted a quick hike just to get some energy out but ended up taking longer than I had planned because of the true beauty in nature! 10/10...
