I want to take a moment to say a few things! This weekend we had my daughters wedding at the Polson Museum and it was spectacular. I knew from the moment I saw the venue that it was perfect. We like all things vintage and if this is something you are interested in and you have an upcoming event, I suggest taking a look at this place right here!!! First of all it is absolutely beautiful. The house, the railroad house, the rose garden, and everything in between!! It made for some beyond stunning pictures! My daughter got ready in the "master closet" (it's a huge dressing room) to get ready in and oh the pictures are awesome! We chose to do both wedding & reception here and I am so glad we did. The best part was, while the wedding pictures were being taken everyone had a chance to tour the grounds. From the littlest of kids all the way to biggest of grown ups, all were interested and even better, entertained! And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, John rolled out the 1924 Franklin! That was it for us ... photo ops all around Most important to our family, it is wheel chair accessible!! Again, I highly recommend! Also, the price is extremely reasonable and I can almost guarantee that unless you have some where that is free, you won't find a better deal! I am going to post a few photos to this page so you can see.
Now as for John & Marin at the Polson, I owe them the biggest Thank You ever!!! I have never worked with people so relaxed and willing to do whatever it took to make things happen. If it needed to be done, they were willing to step in and do it. If we had questions, they were instantly answered. We (since we planned the wedding ourselves) needed this more than I can explain. A calm level headed approach to anything and everything. John even provided me with pictures of the ceremony from a vantage point (upstairs) that none of us could have achieved. We lost Marin at some point, not exactly sure when she left, but I did notice she was gone which speaks volumes in itself. I can honestly say, it was a pleasure working with these two! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!
Sincerely, Mother...
Read moreWonderful museum with such beautiful things inside. A great way to learn about the logging industry here at the harbor. There are stairs to climb to get to the upper floor with living quarters etc. Not easy if you have a disability. The bottom floor is filled with wonderful things too. Like native American made baskets photographs big giant grandfather clock inside it's absolutely a stunning place to visit. The Rose garden is lovely and nice to take a stroll through. That however is small. The outside gardens and barn are so nice too! Such such a beautiful place. I haven't been there in a while to the museum. It did however have a charge of $5 per person to go inside and visit the house. Very nominal fee for a really nice thing to...
Read moreBeautiful house museum, very well done and fun. Our kids pretended they lived there and played house in the kitchen and dining, pretended to use the desk in the breakfast room, etcetera. They really enjoyed it and so did we. Staff were friendly and told us about the history and we got some good items at the gift shop. The price for our whole family was only 15 dollars and the kids loved getting the little museum passports and getting them stamped. The house history, local history, and lumber industry history all come together to make this place really interesting and they have knowledgeable and engaging staff. Architectural details and period items make it fun and interesting...
