QUALITY FOOD AND EXCELENT SERVICE!!! So I was in the area this last week on a 2-day drift fishing trip. Tired and hungry we were trying to find a decent meal in the area. This place was perfect and surprised us in so many good ways. Corn jalapeño chowder is soooo good, my wife's burger was juicy real beef and so good, and the in house hand-battered fish and chips had large pieces of fresh cod. The pregnant bar tender/waitress, working hard, provided the best service we have had in a long time and we eat out a lot. I share that she was pregnant because I want her to know I am writing about her and giving her a tremendous shout out for being a great waitress, working hard while pregnant, happy and cheerful, helpful with the menu, and on her game with a smile on her face making sure our meal was great! Well done!!! She checked on us early and often, stopped by moments after our first bites to see if we were happy with the food, and was genuinely concerned about our dining experience. She went above and beyond when my wife ordered her burger with no tomatoes, and ordered a general side salad. We didn't think when ordering to hold the tomatoes from the salad, but the salad comes with tomatoes and we heard her remind the chef to hold the tomatoes on the salad, knowing my wife omitted them from her burger. It was not a big deal, but server's today seem to just go through the motions, not thinking. This lady was sharp and a great server. A couple black and tans, great food, and great service!!! Well done 8th Street Tavern!!! Oh and the restrooms were very clean...not something you see in most rural area bars. We tipped like crazy and will be back everything we co.e through the...

The pub is quaint clean, and well decorated, and looks like a n Irish pub. However the most attractive thing about the pub is its people. They are friendly and open, charismatic, and helpful. There are also professional and competent My son and I attended this evenings meal as a part of a group party. Everything that we did was paid for ahead of time. The upmost care for our comfort and enjoyment seemed to have been taken. For example, I told be waitress that I was uncomfortable in the chair I was in, and she at once offered to move me to another section where I would be more comfortable. Since this is an Irish pub--we had entertainment and live music and it was awesome.. Restrooms were cleaned and well stocked, The Irish menu was cooked for us at the restaurant pub and it was outstanding as well, we had our choice of several different menus from which we chose the pot roast. The beef was tender tasty and very delicious. I cleaned my plate. The soda bread, traditional Irish bread, was very good, even better than some I've gotten in Ireland. They're on tap IPA, according to my son, was delicious. Since this night and festivities was a "kick off" for the festival week, I'm looking forward to more high quality...

Beware the girl with short blonde hair, glasses and hoop nose ring is back. I came in on Friday because I hadn’t seen her is a while so thought they finally got rid of the issue, unfortunately I was wrong!! The worst customer service I have ever had and that’s when you can find her. She is always outside and nowhere to be found! I have been debating on whether I should say something and then found out, SHE IS THE MANAGER!!!! what in the world is going on? I fear this place is going downhill fast if THAT is who is setting the example and training and training all the new people! How does the worst service in the history of man get a leadership position??? I worry all the good bartenders will quit if that is what they have to deal with! Please please I hope my post doesn’t get deleted like all the others, I pray the owners will end this nightmare!!! I miss my favorite bar and what it use to be!!!

EDIT to respond to owner.

It’s seems that by your response you aren’t really in the mood to problem solve and only wish to accuse me of making a ‘personal’ attack instead of a valid complaint. I do not wish to call you and have you continue to invalidate my feelings instead of you going into your establishment and see things...

Our first time here and we will come back for sure. We shared BBQ style wings and the chicken club wrap. The wings were crispy, sizzling hot fresh from the fryer with several style and sauce choices. The wrap was delicious. They split it for us served with a generous portion of their home made crisps (chips) best I've ever had. The wrap was lightly grilled with juicy chunks of white meat chicken. The avocado really made it a game changer. I had ice tea. Hubby had a hard cider on tap that he enjoyed. Our waitress was great. She was cheerful and gave us excellent service. There is outside heated dining if preferred. Dogs are allowed in this area. They feature live music certain days of the week also. Sorry don't remember what day(s). The place is clean as well as are the very well stocked restrooms. There is plenty of parking. We would recommend this pub and will come again soon. 😋
