Houston Chinese Church — Attraction in Houston

Good Christian worship place, but name has need to be reviewed, reconsidered, & to be changed ultimately. It’s Chinese descents dominant. most of congregation members need to be more sympathetic & welcoming. Nice looking building & some friendly people. Most of congregation do not yet understand that living for & loving Jesus Christ is about breaking cultural & nationality barriers; so I prayerfully hope that God helps this church group to realize that He desires a church of different nationalities. I enjoyed & was very blessed by a few worship services I partook. I observe that this church group was originally founded on the truth of the Word of God. Preaching & bible messages are based on the Word of God &bible truth. I met a few pastors of the church: they were very caring, sympathetic, welcoming, friendly & loving. I personally sensed the presence of Holy Spirit through worship/praise music & bible-based truth preachings & small group discussions. I believe that he Lord God is at work& in the midst of this church group.On human aspect, They are not perfect but I experienced that they are striving to live for Jesus...

Attended the English service one Sunday as visitors. Strong message and lots of resources available on some of the inside walls. Greeters are very nice. They have programs for kindergarten and kids Sunday school. Beautiful sanctuary and worship song style that is not loud and concert-like which I really appreciated.

We were greeted by the friends we already knew, but no strangers greeted us unless our friends introduced us. Once introduced, everyone was very nice...

I LOVE IT here! Gospel centered. Very welcoming atmosphere. When I first walked in I felt like I was in a different country. Super organized as well. They have small groups and lots of opportunities to serve in some capacity. What I appreciate most is that I can come in to this church and be challenged to live like Christ in my daily life.
