Please note: you have to pay for parking $2 for 3 hours. Nice place with ample parking and a nice new track to do your track workouts. There is a very flat trail system nearby-the maps don’t quite follow the actual trail system. Be aware of that because you might go longer or shorter than you expect! I even took a picture of the map and it still didn’t help 😂

Over the years I have attended more than a few out doors events at Memorial Park. From art festivals and picnics to softball tournaments I consistently have a great time here. I have done nearly everything here except for that which is most popular...the act of running/jogging/walking the trails and tracks around Memorial Park.

Gotta check out a few events that come up annually here: Bayou City Art Festival Memorial Park Conservancy Run Any Fun Run organized by local running clubs

Picnics are the most manageable at this park. From the parking availability to the availability of picnic space to throw your shindig Memorial Park is leaps and bounds better than most of the other parks inside the loop (where often times you have to go through the process of reservations for even the smallest gatherings). Added pluses? The municipally run golf courses, driving range, fitness center and the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. Most of the reservations for the recreational activities can be done online (which is incredibly convenient).

My only negative/concern is why there is a Becks Prime franchise in the middle of the park? Perhaps it is a purpose defeating icon in itself but one I guess if Ben Taub Hospital can have a McDonald's in their cafeteria then all is...

Really enjoyed the trail and love the convenience of tire pumps and the water waterhose at the entrance. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't see a water fountain for ppl anywhere around the entrance to the trail. Today was very hot and that could have been useful but i just wanna give a big thanks to the city for holding it down and giving us this space to...

There are 4 sand courts, two with soft deep sand and two with hard packed sand over a clay base. There are no nets on any courts and the rope out of bounds markers have been torn up on three of them. This makes the entire area unusable for anything but a sand box. In addition, the bleachers and benches are falling apart. A waste of a...
