First what so great about this place, so close to home, trails well kept, nice visitor center, next to another great park in Houston, Memorial Park and last you can do all the trails in one day. We where seven and we did the all the trails in 5 hours. What's not so great, parking was horrible, the park was packed and on a Sunday. Nature should be a place to unwind and enjoy nature. While we where hiking the trails where way to noisy but not just from the traffic from 610 but the multiple trains, plains and helicopters. Don't get me wrong but if you live in the middle of the city I can see this not an issue. But there where time wen we could not have a conversation from all the traffic noise. But the park is beautiful and we did enjoy it when we where far away from the main road and you could still hear it. You do pay to park, $5 and it's free on thrusday. I'm sure that there's free parking but not with in this park but memorial next door. I'm used to park being quiet to meditate and enjoy nature, but this park is in the middle of the largest city in Texas. It's great if you like the city, if not perfect but if your looking for nice and quiet park, from our experience, not so, but a good place to start to...

The Drink Your Garden class at the Arboretum was such a fun and refreshing experience! We got to learn how to make some amazing botanical drinks, like a color-changing Butterfly Pea Lemonade, a cool and crisp Cucumber Mint Cooler, and a floral Hibiscus Agua Fresca—all using fresh ingredients straight from the garden.
One of the best parts was actually picking our own fresh mint—rubbing the leaves between our fingers, taking in that bright, invigorating scent, and then using it in our drinks. It made the whole experience feel so connected to nature.
Beyond the class, just wandering through the Arboretum was a treat. The gardens were beautiful, with winding paths, lush greenery, and so many little hidden spots to explore. It was the perfect mix of learning, creativity, and just enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Highly recommend this class to anyone who loves plants, fresh flavors, or just a unique way to spend an...
Read moreI’ve been coming here since they actually opened the park. I took a couple years off and decided I would come back to see it. Only thing I see that’s different now is you have to pay to park and there’s no option other than a day pass there. Or you could do a yearly membership. The only thing I think would help others out that are not financially stable and would like to come visit is an option where you can pay by the hour opposed to the whole day. Other than that, this place is an amazing place. It’s a good grounding spot in a place to see beautiful bugs and butterflies. Enjoy a stroll and just get away from the world. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that...
