Savoy Supermarket (Indian and Pakistani Grocery Store) — Attraction in Houston

• Management Accuses me About Lieing for Produce !!! - Even after the employee confirmed my story. - Service Sucks and Careless Attitude !!! *

This store was recently taken over by new management and we were hoping to see some positive improvements from the new management.

While it is more organized and efficient now, sadly the service has taken a back seat at this grocery store. If you happen to forget collecting your shopping items before leaving the store, DO NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE IT. ITS GONE. They will lie about it and put it back on the shelf.

While we were regulars to this place we will now never attempt to shop with them in the future. We will give other vendors a chance.

Recently we forgot some produce before leaving the store and when we called back to inform them that we had forgotten they implied that we were lieing about it. We were accused of being thieves.

I mean who in their right mind would call back for a couple bucks of produce only to hear that they were being accused of being thieves. If i was truly lieing about something, I would have called back for some expensive item. While I never expected this kind of reaction from any management, this clearly shows that they don't care about customer retention and repeat customers.

This attitude has upset me too much and I would highly encourage people TO NOT GO to the store simply because their service sucks and they don't know how to deal with customers and argue on the...

I go there all time but there is this one female employee at the cash registee she's very rude and unprofessional. I had a hand-basket full of grocery and when I reached at the checkout counter and put the bucket on top of grocery belt, the employee suddenly rudely said, " take all the grocery out and put it on the belt. I am not your servant". I felt very disrespectful and her attitude was way off.

I told her she should've done it by getting the grocery out of the basket as a courtesy but then her unprofessional manner insisted that "I am Wrong as a customer and she is not my Servant to take grocery out of the basket". Her way of saying things can tell she is arrogant and possess bad attitude. Whenever you are in this store make sure to go to someone else at the checkout. It was another bad episode, Last weekend me and my wife went to Manpasand, I bought a flavored milk drink made of Thailand, but the taste was very bad it was smelling very bad. I immediately came back and requested the lady on counter to return the item. She rudely told me that it is open and i cannot return. Store staff is not trained to meet these situations. She was loud and rude to me and said you go and sue the company this is not our fault. I think she was advising me to sue the manpasand or thai comapny. I told her that she don't know what she is talking about and then she refund me through store credit. I would advise manpapsand to train the people on counter and tell them what is the return policy of the desi comapny. This is USA, not india...
