🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Savoy Restaurant!
I recently dined at Savoy Restaurant and had an unforgettable meal that left me beyond satisfied. From the food to the service, everything was top-notch. Here's a breakdown of the items we tried, each one worth mentioning:
🍛 Hyderabadi Goat Karahi – 10/10 This dish was the highlight of our meal. Rich, spicy, and full of authentic Hyderabadi flavor. The goat was perfectly tender and infused with deep, slow-cooked spices. The gravy had that perfect karahi oil layer on top that true desi food lovers crave. Absolute perfection!
🥩 Goat Chops – 9.5/10 Juicy, tender, and grilled to smoky perfection. The marinade on the goat chops is something else – spicy, bold, and mouthwatering. You can tell these are made with love and care. They come out sizzling and make your mouth water even before the first bite.
🔥 BBQ Platter – 9/10 A great combination of all the BBQ classics. Each skewer was flavorful and well-cooked. The variety is perfect for sharing. Everything had a nice char without being dry – especially the chicken and beef. It’s a great way to sample their grill options in one go.
🍢 Beef Behari Kebab – 10/10 These kebabs are soft, spicy, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. You can taste the layers of marinade and the traditional spices. They’re cooked just right – not chewy at all. If you like beef kebabs with a bold taste, this is the one!
🍗 Chicken Bihari – 9/10 Also very tasty! Spiced just right and super tender. It had a nice smoky finish from the grill that made it stand out from average BBQ chicken dishes.
🍞 Butter Naan – 10/10 Fresh, fluffy, and generously buttered – these naan are the perfect companion to every dish. They soak up the karahi gravy perfectly. Hot and straight from the tandoor, just the way naan should be.
🧈 Butter Chicken – 9.5/10 Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. The gravy was buttery without being too sweet, which I really appreciated. The chicken pieces were tender and cooked well. It paired so nicely with the naan and rice.
💬 Service Review: The service at Savoy is just as amazing as the food. The staff is polite, professional, and always checking in to make sure you’re happy. The food came out hot and in a timely manner, even though it was busy.
🙏 Special thanks to Omer (Umer) – a kind-hearted and helpful Pakistani gentleman who went above and beyond to make our dining experience smooth and pleasant. He was patient, gave great menu recommendations, and made sure everything arrived just right. Truly great...

They catered my nikkah and my family and I were blown away by their service, food, presentation, and management. I wish I could rate them even higher. I am so thankful that I came across them and was able to work with them. As a bride on a budget, I wanted to get the best value for my event. I considered several of their competitors in Houston but Savoy went above and beyond and provided such excellent service. They had without a doubt THE BEST PRICES.
And I go to A LOT of weddings, and without bias, their food really stood out to me at the event. SO DELICIOUS. I was pleasantly surprised. So so so thankful.
The week prior to my event, the two managers of the catering team visited my venue with my fiancé (at the time), my parents, and the venue manager and we walked through all of the logistics and clean up check list to make sure we were ready for the event. In addition, they made corrections to the layout of the food set up to optimize the flow and reduce traffic so that everyone can get their food easily and promptly. I hosted my nikkah reception at a historic fire station and while the vibes were gorgeous, the food serving area was a little tricky and we had to be smart about the layout. They have YEARS of experience and it really shows.
Day of my event: EVERYONE was impressed with the quality of food. Everyone says that food is the one thing people remember from your event, and that held true. All of my guests sang praises about the catering and thoroughly enjoyed the dishes and presentation. We have sent out recommendations to everyone who has asked and truly hope that they have the opportunity to work with the Savoy team.
The servers were on top of their game. The clean up was done perfectly and we didn't have any fines or issues after we left the venue. They served the cake promptly and worked really well with my friends and family, as we took ownership of organizing the event-- I did not hire a wedding coordinator or planner.
When Covid is over and my family and I can plan for the reception and mehendi, you better believe-- WE ARE GOING WITH THIS TEAM AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
H I G H L Y recommend. Please enjoy the photos of the food from upstairs. I had several appetizers and a drink station downstairs all provided by Savoy but unfortunately we did not capture...

Highlights:
Cleanliness; Service; Friendliness; Swiftness of service.
The cleanliness and organisation was very notable, along with extremely welcoming and attentive service.
Low Lights:
Reduced menu offerings; Lack of lunch special offerings; Poor meat quality / excessive use of bones to fill a dish; Light fillings in patties; Questionable quality on naans (lacking flavour and were too quick to harden).
It appeared the restaurant was operating on a reduced menu selection, which does seem to be common to a few places at this time of year. Perhaps disappointingly, the lunch time specials were not offered on the makeshift menu, despite later being informed they were still available.
The food came out quick and tasted nice and authentic, although a touch more spice would have been good.
The food appears to be a touch more Pakistani based over Indian, there are subtle differences, the inclusion of beef, slightly less spicy dishes and a touch more oil in that curries is all very common.
However I do feel, It could have been significantly more. The biggest disappointment pertained to the meat. Although it’s well argued that chicken dishes are best served with bones, it was the quantity of bones that was the issue. Within our two chicken dishes, bones perhaps made up in excess of 75% of the dish which is just horrible. We left feeling as if we’d not actually had any meat at all. In addition, the patties were extremely light of content (both the chicken and beef). For the Naans, although we tried both the garlic and bullet offerings, both were not the utter apex (lacking flavour and texture and became hard quick, almost as if they’ve been quickly heated or reheated).
In Summary:
Great flavours that were significantly let down by sloppy ingredients. The cheap meats used in the dishes are just dismal. As for the breads, someone needs to go back to the drawing board with the offerings, they were just plan poor, an offering from a British supermarket would have been an improvement.
If the cheap meats are rid and the breads worked the flavours would...
