The brand new dog park located at Kitty Hawk/Menlo Park in Huber Heights is a welcomed amenity to the community. The dog park has an area designated for small dogs and another for bigger dogs. Each play area has a dog drinking fountain, misting fire hydrant water play feature, benches, trees, walking paths, shade structures, and waste receptacles. The newly paved parking lot is ADA accessible as are all the paths inside the fenced in dog park area and around the outer path of the park. My 15lb service dog kept trying to run away from this old man's large chocolate lab (looked 90lbs) and ended up with fractured ribs (he wasn't trying to play. I had to pick him up to leave). I've made friends and most dogs come daily at the same time. When it warms up more dogs decide to come so in the afternoon you can get anywhere 3 to 20 dogs!
