Sure it's a beautiful library. But I straight up just left. I was in the cute little shop because I wanted to get a puzzle. I took my time, got two 10 cent maps, brought them up to the """register""" (do they even have tap to pay?) The man tells me what books are two for one, I'm going to go look, he starts to say, with that dead look in his yes, the same thing I was saying "can I leave the puzzle and maps here?". I could just tell he was a bit of a jerk, but whatever. I find a meditation book. A $1 meditation book. I start to bring it back up to the register, then I hesitate, because I saw another interesting book on the theory of what was here before the beginning. I start to walk. Back, and though my purse wasn't a problem since I walked in, this old man calls out in front of everyone, MISS! CAN YOU LEAVE YOUR BAG RIGHT THERE???? ON THE CHAIR (right in front of the store so everyone can see it. I'm not comfortable with that.i don't need someone stealing me bag). I comply, then start to think, Oh wait did he think I was going to STEAL THIS $1 BOOK WHEN I HAVE $13 WORTH OF ITEMS AT THE REGISTER I PLAN TO PAY FOR?! So I quickly set the meditation book down, grabbed my bag, and left. How rude. How insulting. He did that to nobody else, and he didn't say anything when I first walked in. He had an old cranky attitude the whole time. I really likes this library. Now not so much. Plus I REALLY wanted that puzzle, but I refuse to buy it FROM HIM. Old freak. Way to pass judgement. Put it in an...

Read moreIt's been a really long time since I stepped foot in to a library, let alone, owning a library card.
My adorable nieces were in town visiting and of course their cool Aunt needs to stock up on kid friendly books for bedtime stories. My husband and I came in with them and signed up for library cards. The woman who helped us out was fast, efficient and thorough in explaining how the check out system works. It's a super easy process!!
We were quickly on our way to the children's books section and noticed they had live story time! The girls went nuts!! What a great idea and offering for kids. There went TONS of books to choose from. Some of which brought back great childhood memories of books I read as a kid.
The library is located next to a beautiful park. So naturally after story time and checking out our books, we went for a nice stroll.
Everything about this location is amazing. The ambiance, the book selections, the park nearby, the staff - AMAZING! We can't wait to come back for another visit!
Fun Tip: You're library card does more than just check out items from the library. Sign up with their email newsletters and get access to fun and FREE events. Some adult activities include: adult coloring and tea time, resume help, etc....and for the Kiddos, there's loads of craft activities,...
