You hear the murmuring of children and youth passing by, as if you aren't there, you keep quiet, fearing the menehune. You hear the voice of maidens asking to help guide you, you keep silent, holding aloof from the plans of rusalka. Your heart melts, your spirit departs but your make certain not to manifest it lest the unseen menace accosts you. I’d like to share a secret, there’s this little garden to see in Huntington Central Park, just north of the Huntington Beach Central Library! It’s no secret to the many regular park goers who access the trails around it. The garden may also be clued in by library users who may notice the lush foliage from the windows! For those who are just finding out about it, I’d recommend taking a look thru this beautiful little lakeside park feature. If the gates are open, then all the more better to step thru for a closer look. Trails meander thru spots of colorful plants, where volunteer help may offer some insight. Lovely spot to walk and enjoy pretty nature. However, none of the plants are native. I may have missed the info plaque about the purpose of the garden. If they meant for it to showcase foreign plants from Asia and South America, they definitely understood the assignment.
