Chicago Skyway Toll Bridge — Attraction in Hyde Park Township

The main bridge over the Calumet is the best feature. Amazing views of the Chicago skyline and of the Calumet region. However, the toll (which was $5.30 for cars last time I went through) is quite high compared to the tolls on the Tri-state (which probably equals that but over 10X the distance). Also no discount for I-Pass/ Ez-Pass and there are more tolls once you get into Indiana. If you're cheap, you should probably take the Bishop Ford (I-94) or some of the side streets like Lake Shore Drive/ Indianapolis Blvd or South Chicago. When traffic's light (like at night or early in the morning), it takes the same amount of time as the Bishop Ford. Since the skyway was purchased in 2005 by the Skyway Concession LLC, it's grown progressively worse and worse. Lack of maintenance with the road, toll booths and over all facility is very poor. Pot holes everywhere, I've received 3 flat tires in a 2 year period. This last time I hit several pot holes in a row and blew out my front left tire. To file a claim you have to answer all kinds of ridiculous questions aimed at denying your claim. A civil lawsuit should be started to make this road way legit again. Veronica, one of the people to deny your claim wasn't even prepared when speaking to her, it was like high school and she just kept saying it's denied. Zero accountability! I will avoid the road...

#2 EXPRESS LINES/ I PASS they CHARGE WELL ENOUGH for them to have machines that you can see what in the world is saying. But no their machines suck and they Have a ridiculous help button that by the time they pick up it's already too late #3 THE ROADS ARE TERRIBLE they fix a couple issues but the rest of the roads are a joke.
