Had a take out Birria Ramen that was bland and had NO MEAT basically Ramen noodles with broth and cilantro after seeing pictures of Birria with Meat on the website…I put the Birria back in the container to return it the next day and called just to hear the cashier tell me “I have to bring the order in a hour after receiving the order”…how am I suppose to know that as a first time customer? That’s 1. 2. There was NO MEAT in the ramen and it was bland and as a customer I’m dissatisfied. The cashier “calls” the manager to repeat what she already had told me about NO REFUNDS. Not taking in consideration that I was a first time customer and I came far not only that I couldn’t bring order back because they closed right after I left. I’ve eating at most Mexican restaurants throughout the city with amazing customer service and great amazing flavorful food than this place…These people don’t know me I will take legal action over $15 because at the end of the day it’s wrong on all levels. I have very good respected legal friends who will represent me for free and I will keep the ramen till court date. The cashier attitude was horrible and she hung up on me when I ask to speak to her manager. Check your food...
Read moreThis is a relatively new spot on the South East side and in my estimation a welcome one. Even though there no shortage of Mexican food places and even birrerias at that! Where this place stands out is that THEY TAKE CARD! Gone are the days of having to stop for cash before you head to the birreria have your tasty meal. There IS a 4% fee for using a card but usually that’s way way less than what you would pay to use an ATM. just having the option puts this place leaps and bounds ahead of the others and that’s one reason it gets 5 stars.
Now the food, the birria tacos and quesatacos were delicious and tender. The meat was very well cut and I’m happy to report that we bit into ZERO bones out of 5 tacos. That’s better than Ocotlan for sure, Chela’s too. I ordered the single serving of birria and came away very full and very satisfied. The Horchata was killer as well. My only gripe with this place are the prices. But for a birreria they are not out of line especially when compared to the other spots in the neighborhood. Support your new local businesses and you won’t...
Read moreWhile Viany's offers a menu with some genuinely "cool" and innovative dishes, the overall experience is significantly marred by a severe disconnect between price and portion size. The culinary team clearly has creative flair; flavors are vibrant, and presentations are appealing. However, the excitement quickly fades when you realize the meager amount of food on your plate relative to the price tag. The quality of the ingredients and the unique flavor combinations are commendable, suggesting a promising future if they adjust their pricing strategy or increase their serving sizes. Unfortunately, the current value proposition is unsustainable. Diners expect a satisfying meal, especially at this price point, and Viany's simply does not deliver in terms of quantity. Despite the intriguing food, the feeling of being underfed and overcharged makes a return visit unlikely. Viany's needs to address the issue of portion control to match the quality of its cuisine; otherwise, it risks losing customers who prioritize a balanced dining experience. I won't...
