Black Lake Park — Attraction in Ilwaco

Wonderful park with lots of outdoor activities. There is a restroom and a covered area for barbecuing or picnics. There is a trail that walks all the way around the lake which is a fairly short walk. There is excellent trout fishing available. There are also chanterelle mushrooms around the back side of the lake. There is a dock and several other fishing locations. There is a boat launch on the far side of the lake for kayaks and electric only Motors. There aren't any toys for...

Bathrooms were locked, when I visited. But, there is nice grassy area, avoiding the goose poo on the edges. Covered picnic area, with outlets to charge or plug in. Peaceful setting, right of highway,with a couple of benches, just to sit and wach the view. The dock is pretty rickety right now, but caught Rainbow trout, little perch, and Bluegills. Did not try for bass.. but heard...

This is a great place to go hiking, bike riding, we're going for a ride in your rowboat. In the spring the plant a lot of trout in the lake, and some of them are tagged. Many of the tagged fish are sponsored by local businesses! Get one of those and it could be worth a $25 gift certificate or a trip for two to Hawaii!
