My husband and I recently had the privilege of celebrating our wedding at this stunning venue, and it truly exceeded our expectations from day 1! From the moment we saw this venue online we knew we loved it, but it wasn't until we spoke with Liza Merrell that we knew we had found THE place to say "I do."

A picturesque setting: Merrell Estate & Gardens truly took our breath away. From the huge white columns and the great wooden doors that greet you at the front of the estate, to the beautiful manicured garden and lawn that hosts the aisle of palms, provided the most enchanting backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Every nook and cranny of this venue exudes elegance and charm, making it a photographer's dream.

Elegant and Versatile Spaces: The venue offers a variety of elegant and versatile spaces to cater to your every need. We were fortunate enough to have good weather which allowed for a beautiful outdoor ceremony in their garden, followed by a stunning indoor reception in their grand ballroom, and dancing out under the portico! The attention to detail in each space was impeccable, from the 2 huge fireplaces to the tasteful decor, creating an atmosphere of sheer sophistication.

Professional Staff: One of the standout features of this venue is its dedicated and professional staff. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, Liza and her team were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our day as perfect as possible. They took care of every detail, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for us and our guests and we cannot thank them enough!

Culinary Delights: The culinary team deserves a special mention. Our wedding feast was an absolute culinary delight! The menu offered a range of delectable options, and the presentation was nothing short of artistry. Our guests are still raving about the delicious food, with some going so far as to say it was the best wedding food they have ever had! We have to shout out the crab cakes, bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp & grits, the beef tenderloin, and the wedding cake - we still dream about the food!

Since the day we toured, Liza was nothing but responsive. I had a specific vision in mind and she was there to help me every step of the way. Every vendor we worked with would rave about Merrell estate & their staff. But it was our wedding day where this truly shined through for us.

We got sick the day of our wedding & while it was heartbreaking and at times a nightmare, the staff was absolutely amazing. They were so attentive and encouraging. Every where we went they were there offering us whatever we needed. Even after, our wedding they were genuinely reaching out to check in on us.

I can truly tell how Liza & her staff love what they do. They do it with pride, kindness & intent. While some venues definitely just churn out events and don’t pour their heart into it, Merrell estate puts so much love into every moment.

Our entire guest list raved about how kind they were. Even the toughest critics in our families have been texting non stop saying they have never seen such an amazing venue and had better wedding food & cocktails. I’m secretly hoping someone I know also gets married here so I can truly live through the experience.

From the moment we saw Merrell Estate & Gardens in person we knew this was where we were going to get married! Words cannot express how absolutely perfect everything was for our wedding, but I will try my best to do so! Liza and Clarke have perfectly curated a venue and atmosphere that isn't solely "well brides on their big day", "most brides do etc", "for the bride on your big day we blah blah blah", instead it is all about the couple, as an equal partnership, and creating the perfect day for both husband and wife! They have an amazing layout for ALL of the wedding party and parents to get ready and spend time together in an accessible location right where the festivities begin! We had so much room to get ready, do first looks, hangout, and enjoy our perfect day! They have backup options for if weather doesn't work out, they walk you through the entire process and are beyond patient! It also helps so much that they include so much; from areas to get ready, to ceremony placement, to reception availability, including the bar and catering and cake! Practically a one stop shop! I'm not sure what we've gotten more compliments on for the wedding between the gorgeous venue, amazing menu, and beautiful and delicious cake! Everything was simply phenomenal!!
