When we got to our condo on Saturday afternoon, we found dark "grungy" stuff all around the kitchen faucet. Looked like it had never been cleaned. The indoor hot tub was closed down due to paint flaking off for the entire time of our stay (which was from Saturday to Saturday). To top it all off, (which was the straw that broke the camel's back....so to speak). On Thursday night, my kids wanted to go swimming in the outdoor MAIN pool around 9pm. My husband and I went down there with them, they jumped right into the pool, playing and swimming as usual, (under water, and regular swimming), my husband and I were using the outdoor hot tub. We had been in there for almost an hour when the security guards came in and said, "how did you get in here", we said, we opened the gate as usual. They said, " this pool is closed", we said, "the pool hours are until 11pm", they confirmed but stated, "this pool and hot tub are both closed due to someone used the bathroom in the pool today". I was in total SHOCK!!! to say the least. My children had been swimming with heads completely submerged in this NASTY thing and my husband and I were in a HOT TUB (which due to the warm water, GROWS MORE BACTERIA). There were no signs, the pool wasn't "on lock down". No locks on the gate, no warnings or anything. We immediately got out of the hot tub and the kids out of the pool and took VERY LONG showers. The next morning, my husband went to the office to see directly on the wall a sign reading, "Main Pool Closed due to Someone Pooped in the Pool.....Poop has been Removed". HE COULDN"T BELIEVE HIS EYES. There was a sign posted in the OFFICE?!?! But yet NOTHING at the pool and NOTHING WAS LOCKED UP. The office manager was very patronizing and offered us "free icecream" for the inconvience. Talk about a slap in the face?!?! She even said to my husband, "I'm really not concerned that your children swam in the pool after the poop was removed". OH MY GOSH!!! They would not offer any compensation or anything. I was totally shocked!! We paid over $2000 for our condo for the week and my kids swam in Poop Water?!?! That's completely UNACCEPTABLE!!!    Read moreWe rented several units for a weeks vacation. We wore our wrist bands and were continually questioned by the security guard if we had units there! One incident occurred when I was walking up the steps to my unit and security asked if I had a wrist band on and I showed it to him and said yes. He started yelling at me and followed me to my unit where my husband met us. Needless to say there were words exchanged. The security guard was rude, highly aggressive, and was threatening to kick us out. Not to mention He was in our face with absolutely no social distancing or mask. Sandy from HOA did say that they have trespassers all the time and people steal the bracelets to get on the property! It seems to me they need to figure out a more effective policy then bracelets if your paying guests are wearing them and the security guard still has to question whether you are a guest there! The staff & security made it clear they do NOT want families to vacation at their âresortâ. Not worth getting treated like a criminal...spend your money...
   Read moreI'm so disappointed this year! My family has gone to summer winds many times, and absolutely love the place! It's our vacation spot! Unfortunately we had to cancel our reservation this year. Due to change in rules at summer winds. Every year we have the same amount of people staying in the condo. This year there telling us we have to many people! And we are not goin to tell some of us we can't go. And we're also not gonna drop another 5,000 on another condo to have 2 people stay in. It's absolutely sad đ˘ that out of no where they are changing things, this is a vacation spot many family's go to , as a group. They are sadly goin to lose a lot of business with these new rules! Now we have to find a new location for my family to stay !...
