Don’t let the “World’s Best” Super Shrimp Burger sign out front keep you from stopping next time you’re in Atlantic Beach. If you’re like me, you may question what the hype is all about or perhaps you’ll think it’s a ploy to get vacationers to stop.

Just trust me that it’s worth the stop! The Super Shrimp Burger is delicious and the price is right! Just $8 for a bun filled with fried shrimp. It’s served hot and you get it with/without cole slaw. You can spice it up with Captain’s Kitchen’s own spicy shrimp sauce (it’s not too hot) or have it more traditional with a lil cocktail sauce.

It’s worth mentioning it’s CASH ONLY.

I’ve rated the atmosphere as 3⭐️ only because there’s technically no atmosphere (since it’s a food truck). But, I do like that there are picnic tables with umbrellas so you can enjoy the beach breezes while eating your delicious...

Don't even bother going anywhere else to eat on the island because the best food is HERE. Honestly, some of the most delicious seafood I've ever had in my life. Even the bread on the shrimp sandwich was incredible! We drove up from Topsail (where we are currently visiting) and barely made it before they closed. We would drive an hour just to eat here it's that good! You can tell they are passionate about what they do. They worked well with accommodating my partners dairy allergy and were warm and welcoming when we arrived. The shrimp burger are quarter sized shrimp, lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and piled on a hamburger roll. Don't let its appearance fool you, it's astoundingly good. USE THEIR SAUCE! Add some coleslaw. You're welcome. 😃 👍🏻🤘🏻
