The nicest thing about the Swiniging Bridge is its view of the Iowa River and the surrounding neighborhood.
There is a pretty little waterfall on the west bank nearby. The bridge provides a bird's eye view of jet skiers. There is small park with a playground for families with children at one end of the bridge and another nearby memorial park with a totem pole sculpture that provides a view of the swinging bridge.
Altogether this is a great place to enjoy a scenic view of this...
   Read moreThis swinging bridge is adjacent to assembly park, which has wonderful play equipment for kids, a basketball court, and 4 tennis courts (with lights for nighttime). The park has a parking lot, so start on the west side of the river and head north to get to the best place to park.    Read moreBefore it was the Assembly Park it was the Iowa Falls Baptist Assembly Camp owned and operated by the Iowa Baptist Convention (ABC). The buildings were rustic and vacated as the denomination developed other church camps in the Region. We used the swinging bridge to cross the river as we walked to the Iowa Falls swimming pool.
