Red Rooster Grill — Restaurant in Iowa Falls

This is the first and only time I did not tip my waitress we have gone here 4 times, the first time it was great and the waitress we had was very sweet and friendly, how ever the last 3 times we’ve eaten there, there has been an awful waitress she’s been consistently rude every time we’ve been there lately and she only seemed to be nice to the people she knew and mostly ignored us the whole time, while loudly talking poorly about people and rude to other customers also my French toast was the butt end of the bread and still soggy and yolky I asked her to take them back because it was under cooked she got angry and verbally annoyed and stomped off she then threw the plate in the in the kitchen window loudly said she said “ these aren’t cooked” in a mocking tone which was just childish. I had also asked for over easy eggs and the yolk was hard and at this point I didn’t want another show so I just asked them. I didn’t want to have them re-cooked and get yelled at again after her first little episode and was just ready to leave at this point she argued with me and said they weren’t hard I showed them to her and my friend and I said they’re clearly not over easy either. She then threw a huge fit and started arguing with me. She got so angry when we asked if we could sit in a booth instead of the bar table and she said are you kidding me then threw stuff around and said I guess they want to sit in a booth now. Honestly I get being busy but clearly other people have also made complaints about the same waitress in the reviews the fact that she has such a bad attitude and is allowed to treat customers that way is really not good for this small...

So I always try to find the local mom and pop places to eat when I am exploring the areas I travel to. I am usually very impressed with the places, but not this time. To start, I did see the review that said they only accept cash or checks, so I made sure I had some cash before I went in...who even writes checks anymore, but I get it, CC charge service fees. Was greeted with, I won't say completely rude waitress, but certainly not friendly and gave me the impression she hates her job. Yelled at me for bring in my water bottle stating they don't allow ANY outside drinks in this place...I mean, it's just my water bottle that I carry everywhere. So I put it off to the side and ordered a glass of water cuz I don't like Pepsi products. Got a bacon burger(1/4lb) which ok it was bigger than the bun, but I wasn't expecting it to be that flat, and idk, can u see the 1 piece of folded bacon there? By the time I took 2 or 3 bites, the burger became fatter than the bun. Pretty much no flavor, fries were ok, but definitely frozen, not fresh.

As far as mom and pop places go, this one goes on the bottom of my list of places to come back to, I think I would had better from the McD's next door and I haven't eaten fast food for over 5 yrs..DONT BOTHER...

We are from out of state and was looking for a local breakfast place where all the locals go. So we landed here. We was greeted rudely by the waitress, we have 3 small children 7,5,&3. We were given a lecture from the rude waitress on how she expects our children to act in her restaurant. That was our first red flag. Then after we finished our order, my wife wanted to add 2 eggs and some bacon to our order and the waitress was aggravated saying you already got food for the kids why do you want more?!? So that was it for us and we walked out, I do not recommend this place to anyone….also the place has a sewer smell…I’m a plumber by trade and pick up on this easily, it’s probably just a floor drain somewhere that is dry, but none the less, not a smell I want with...
