Went to use the frisbee golf course here recently and was super bummed. They used to have a nice frisbee golf course here for beginners. The holes were 100-150 yards and it was well designed. Someone spent a lot of tax dollars to design a nice course and it got used regularly The course has now been vandalized by the parks system. Hole # 1 is now hole # 2 and it’s only about 30-40 yards. Hole 3 is literally the only one that hasn’t been rendered unplayable Once you get to hole # 4 it is almost an insult. It’s maybe 40 feet from tee to basket It’s sad that the frisbee golf has been changed in such a way that renders it useless. Whoever made that decision isn’t very smart I suggest making your own frisbee golf course. From the # 2 tee try to hit the #4 basket. From # 5 tee try to hit # 1 basket. Tee off from # 1 basket and try to hit # 5 basket. Tee off from # 5 basket aiming for # 8, tee off from # 8 basket aiming for # 6, walk back to 4th tee and shoot for basket # 7, tee off from # 7 basket aiming for # 2 basket and then play hole # 3 as the final. If you follow this pattern, the course will be almost as playable as its...
Read moreDeerfield Community Park is another wonderful little community center tucked away off of Deerwood and Irvine center drive. It's primarily a one room facility for children's workshops and adult classes. The unique accent to the park here is the disc golf course. Now, if you're a regular disc golf course player be aware that the length and range of most of the holes here are specifically designed with children in mind. That being said, the distances from tees to the baskets are still challenging enough for your mid game and putting. Airing out your 400 yard tee shot will definitely land you in somebody's yard or the elementary school playground. There are water fountains and bathrooms with access hours posted. Also a coin op soda machine outside in the back of the building. Great little park, awesome neighborhood, solid place to practice your...
Read moreI normally play disc golf here once a week. It's a pretty small course and without significant tree coverage. There are 3-4 really short baskets (I haven't measured but it can't be much more than 100ft). 1 basket is routinely severely flooded and several tees are always mucky due to over watering, at least before noon. Overall it's an ok course I guess, "nicer" than Frontier but much less challenging in my opinion.
As of 10/23/21 I can say they did some solid improvements and have been reseeding a few of the muddier holes, but still based on its relative size and difficulty I give it 3 stars as a...
