Nick The Greek — Restaurant in Irvine

I used doordash on a bogo and got 2 gyros for the price of one which seemed like a great deal and I wanted to try this place at the same time.

Unfortunately when my gyros arrived I basically just got meat and pita bread... I asked for taztiki on the side but didn't get that and so it was a pretty boring gyro to say the least.

But that alone wouldn't justify 2 stars on a review:

Tge gyro meat wss incredibly salty and I don't mind salt but it after reheating the gyro (and I ordered an extra side of gyro meat)... it was like I wanted to eat a banana right after I ate the gyro to balance out and remove all that salty meat with potassium.... maybe if I had tatziki on the side i wouldn't have noticed...

First time trying Nick the Greek, and my husband and I immediately agreed to come back with our sons. Our introduction was via the Nick's Fries and Lemon Loux. Both were delicious! Came back the same day and ordered another Nick's Fries, Beef/Lamb Gyro Pita, and the Mediterranean Steak Bowl.

Each item was well seasoned at every level, the produce was fresh, and the portions were perfect! My only suggestion would be to serve the bowl with a warm pita. Otherwise, this was a great first impression! The staff is friendly offering smiles to all who come through the doors. Cannot wait to return and try...

We were thrilled to participate in their grand opening celebration! Although the line was lengthy, the host and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the wait enjoyable. To show their appreciation, they even offered complimentary frozen yogurt to those waiting in line.
