Jina beauty (sola salon) 32 — Attraction in Irvine

I would give 0 stars if I could, never returning to this salon and would not recommend. The cut was horrible that I ended up going to another salon immediately after this one to get it fixed, paying double the price, but not only that the owner/stylist was extremely impatient, disrespectful, and I have never been to a place like this one.

First, the hair stylist saw my hair that was permed and colored at home, and made nonstop comments about it looking really bad, which I thought was super disrespectful.

Then, because I was late for 7 minutes (I communicated this to her 15 minutes in advance and apologized btw), she told me that WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME and we need to cut immediately before I could decide on how to cut my hair. Now thinking of it, definitely a red flag there... she could have at least told me to come back another time if she felt that she was in a rush. But to her, making the money was obviously a priority, and not the customers hair.

Throughout the cut, she was really rough, barely paid attention to the hair and immediately rushed to cut it short and within 10 minutes says she is done... just what you saw in the picture, there were hair bits all over my shirt and she didn’t even bothered to clean it. when I asked her to fix the sides because it was really thick and looks horrible, she persisted to say it looked fine and the entire time I felt rushed and super uncomfortable. She was fixing while I was telling her one side is not even compared to the other, but she had such an impatient and mean demeanor. Meanwhile, there is nobody waiting at this time and her next customer did not come until half an hour later. The haircut at the end made me look way old and had absolutely no style, tasteless, and she overcharges - $80 for a 10 minute hair.

Immediately after I left this place, I had it recut at the salon at Jamboree plaza at 3AM and they saved my haircut.

All in all, stay away from this place. Nobody should ever feel like this at a salon. Also others have reached out and shared that she will almost always try to upsell you through hair spa packages, she also told me to buy a $100 treatment oil 5 minutes of me being...

I very rear to write any comments online but I do want to share some facts about my experience with Jina. My hairstylist near my home is an Korean for years and she is amazing. But I decided to find one close to my office so I googled then found Jina. The 1st visit I asked her if I can do hair straightening because I did not like my perm. She said my hair is too damaged so she recommend me a very expensive Japanese hair treatment for 450/time! I tried. The result only lasted less than 2 weeks and I texted her. She said my hair was too damaged. I should go to do the treatment once a month! After 2 months I decide to ask her to straightening my hair and I did the same thing a lot of times before. There's never any issue. But she said my hair was too damaged so she would not do Japanese Hair straightening for me but Brazilian Hair Straightening. She said it could straight my hair but not damage more like the Japanese one. The result was awful! After the first shower my hair went back to curl and dry! It looked like nothing had been done! And she gave me just a little bit trim after the Brazilian but she still charged me full hair cut price plus the Brazilian treatment! Another $450! If I got any satisfied result, I had no problem with the price but nothing! And I talked with her how to resolve this she asked me go back paying one more time to do Japanese one etc.! Are you kidding me?! I felt really bad! And she was nice and sweet and looked like professional that's why I trusted her suggestion in the first time and then second time! I will never go back to her! Last week finally I went back to my hairstylist Anna who is near my house and did the Japanese hair straitening with her. I washed my hair tonight the first time and it feels smooth, healthy, shine and NOT GOT DAMAGE BY DOING IT AT ALL! Based on my experience, if you really dare to use her service please discuss with her very clearly what you want and DO NOT just listen to her suggestions. Otherwise watch out...

I can confidently say that Jina is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. I’ve been to many salons around LA and OC, but it was always hard to find someone who truly understood what I wanted. Jina has a special talent for listening carefully and understanding even what I can’t fully express—almost like she knows what I want better than I do. She truly works magic and delivers perfect results every time.

I recently had my hair bleached and colored, and the color turned out absolutely beautiful. I was worried about damage from bleaching, but she did it so skillfully that my hair stayed healthy and soft. Jina is always kind and welcoming, and even though bleaching can take a long time, the time passed quickly thanks to our fun conversations.
