I was previously a shift supervisor at Sbux for 6 years, now I'm a full time student at UCI so I come to this store often, and it's consistently a poor experience.
Employees look lost and consistently on their phones while front of house. I've had to explain the refill policy to two employees.
I repeated my easy drink to Collin twice and he still punched it in wrong. He also kept calling me "Bud."
The shift on duty (Kevin) let my shots die for 3 minutes while he helped another customer and then when I asked him nicely to pull new shots he seemed super irritated and didn't say anything to me.
Later, their system went down and then proceeded to turn all customers away instead of "surprising and delighting" as policy would lead them to do. Then used the opportunity to stand around talking loudly and staring at their phones since they absolved themselves of their duties. However, they did give free drinks to certain customers that came in that they knew, a clear act of favoritism in front of all the people in the lobby whom they denied drinks to.
Specifically Megan just stood at the oven on her phone laughing at memes, until she'd look up briefly to tell customers they wouldn't serve them because the computers were down.
As someone who knows the grind, I'm typically more understanding but it's clear this is a store of people...
Read moreI had the unfortunate experience of visiting this Starbucks location several times, only to find that despite the advertised hours of 4:30 AM to 12:00 AM, the store was closed with a note apologizing for the inconvenience. This inconsistency in their hours is unacceptable and makes the 20-minute drive there and back a complete waste of time. The management of this location needs to do better in ensuring the store stays open during its advertised hours. Disappointing and unacceptable service. Not only are the inconsistent hours a major issue, but the cleanliness of the restrooms is also a major concern. On multiple visits, I was disappointed to find that the restrooms were in a state of disrepair and uncleanliness. Read moreI had a very disappointing and rude barista at Starbucks, unlike any experience I’ve had at Starbucks around the world. One of the baristas actually humiliated my name for about 10 minutes. She initially called my name correctly, and I received my drink with no issue. However, afterward, she loudly and repeatedly spelled out my name, making fun of it. At first, I thought she didn’t realize I was still there, but I stayed for quite some time, and she continued to mock my name. This is the worst experience I have ever had in my entire thirty-plus years of life. It really ruined the beginning of my day, and now I feel traumatized to say my name.
