Isanti Firefighters Rodeo — Attraction in Isanti

There were way too many people for the size of the venue. At one point, people could barely squeeze by each other to get in or out of the area. The alcohol sales were monitored by multiple able-bodied staff. However, I saw multiple instances of one person of age purchasing SEVERAL drinks for seemingly underage people in their group. The “security” staff assigned for safety around the show area entrance & exit of stands, and crowd control were understaffed, and the two I saw were elderly, and had visible physical limitations.

There were multiple confrontations between aggressive attendees and the two security staff, and it escalated to the point of shouting and the staff being pushed. Very unsafe.

Two handicapped elderly attendees sitting in the assigned handicapped area of the stands were unable to see most of the show because of the overcrowding, and when they tried to tell the staff, they were...

Edit: I see the organizers reply on some bad reviews on here including mine saying to reach out. I did and have not heard back. I’m wondering if they followed up with anyone.

I agree with the other review on here. This event was oversold, there was no where to stand or sit, my family and I kept trying to look for a spot while getting yelled at by others to get out of the way. At times it was unavoidable as we would get stuck behind other people who were also looking for seating with no way out and while waiting for people ahead of us to move my family was pushed and yelled at to move. We ended up leaving without enjoying any of what I paid for. We had originally planned to go to a different rodeo but tickets were sold out because they sold to capacity only not like here that was still selling tickets when I left. My family pre-purchase tickets for the 6:30pm Saturday July 8th 2023 Isanti rodeo about 1 week before the day of the rodeo. We anticipated that this meant we would have somewhere to sit. We did not anticipate that having pre-purchase tickets not only would not give us a place to sit but not even a place to stand. And this was after we arrived in the rodeo area at 5:45pm and then walked about a half mile after a very slow parking experience. The worst part was we carried three baby and toddlers who could not walk the distance. In my opinion an event that has many young children attending should not have standing room only in the first place. Seems like a safety issue. I do not plan to attend this event...
