I grew up since 1987 it was not a preserve till recently it used to be just a bunch of woods back in the 2000s gentlemen purchased the property and excavated a lot of it destroying a lot of the natural habitats and over the years it has grown back used to be a place where kids would hang out hide from their parents last time I was there there's no working bathroom because they took it out because prostitutes and druggies were using the bathroom as a hideaway there are a lot of mosquitoes it is not well kept for the most part some of the trails that I went down are overgrown so yes it is very quiet if you go back into the woods but for the most part you're right by Old plank road there is another part of bulls Bay preserve that is down on Emerson Street that one I have never been to so I have nothing to...

We enjoyed this off the beaten path hike. Some small hills to navigate, lots of twists and turns, along with plenty to see. Parking area offered a toilet, plenty of parking and some nearby picnic tables. I had a grill nearby. The trails are a great mountain bike or bmx trail spot with plenty of natural and added obstacles. My son said he'd love to come back with his bike. Dogs had a blast running the hills and trails. Lots of shade. Considering how much stagnant water there was, bugs were not bad. One trail has a hike to a small waterfall. Careful as you approach the waterfall, thorny vines and plants cover part of the trail. One trail leads to a small pond. There is a picnic table near the pond. Handicap parking spot near the toilet. Garbage cans near the entrance...

Honestly, I've seen a lot of negative reviews about this place, but I really enjoyed it. Lets get the negatives out of the way. Yes, there is a lot of garbage from the 70's-80's dumped along some of the trails. There is also lots of garbage around the waterfall area. However, I found this place extremely enjoyable to explore. There is lots of elevation change, hills, and water. There's also a variety of trails that are unmarked but yet still walkable. The main trails are pretty short and easy to walk, but they can be confusing at times with poor marking. If there was some more effort put into cleaning up some of the garbage lying around, not even considering the 80's dumps, I would rate it 5 stars. Otherwise, absolutely...

Excellent set of short walking trails - with actual terrain! The Waterfall Loop Trail goes to a set of small waterfalls - rare in Florida. Be advised, there really are a few steep spots on these trails and in some spots that trails are narrow. These areas would pose a challenge to people with mobility issues. There is a lot of plant and habitat diversity here. It was a fun place to birdwatch. ID'd a yellow-throated vireo, red shouldered hawk, tufted titmice, Cardinals, a brown thrasher, Carolina Chickadees, and northern parulas. There is a bathroom at the trailhead. Decent sized parking lot. I wouldn't consider the trails to be wheelchair friendly due to some being narrow and the steep terrain areas.

I was very disappointed by this preserve. There were loads of trash along almost every trail, and tons in the water. The trails are very poorly marked as well so once you get into one, you have no idea which one you’re on or where you’re going until you hit a new trail. Most parks I’ve been to paint trees along the paths to help guide people. Outside of that, if you still want to go, I’d just be mindful if you have dogs who are pullers. With the steep inclines you have to go up and down, it was a bit precarious. If the park were more clean and maintained, it would be a fun place to hike.
