Ok where do I start, I have been staying at this hotel for 3 years for work. It's always been below par. But the first 2 years had a phenomenal staff. Which is why I kept coming back. The first time I stayed the bed was literally broken in the middle, no hot water for a week, bugs, mildew on the ceiling, I was moved to 3 different rooms for these reasons. The second time I stayed I was again moved rooms 2 times for mildew and mold 2022 was the year of those stays. Never once did I encounter a staff problem. They used to be the sweetest of people! This time I come back. My reservation was not complete, the guy I spoke with was absolutely rude, would not let me explain what I was trying to say. I call the hotel to make sure he booked it. He didn't. The sMe day I was checking in and a nice lady helped me book and check on 1 hour before my arrival. My first room. MOLD on the ceiling SPOTS EVERYWHERE. I moved to another room. They didn't offer to help either. This room. The toilet paper dispenser was not in the wall, there are openings in the floor of the bathroom where the shower leaks into the walls of the hotel. (Mold) it took 5 days for maintenance to come fix the dispenser. My room was not cleaned or sanitized, yes they did restock my towels. I had to make it obvious for them put new tissue in the, they didn't sweep the floors or vacuum. The toilet was not properly cleaned in the 2 weeks I was there. I did request this be done too. The shower leaked on to the floor causing a mess and leaking into the walls. The Cleaning staff are absolute dolls. Super sweet but the quality of work is definitely not for a hotel. At night some of the staff is sleeping on the benches in the lobby ( lacks professionalism) yelling at guests, calling them rude for trying to find a better way to explain things, the staff ganging up on a guest when the guest is trying to speak to the manager (who btw is very nice) overall I'd say the staffs attitude and hood/ ghetto mentality has got the best of them. Miss Terri, Steven, and the manager are. Wonderful. Everyone else needs to be fired. I will not be staying here again. The grounds for dogs is full OF BROKEN GLASS AND TRASH. Thank you to all who try to maKe it pleasant. There were other instances but I will not air out the dirty laundry

Frequent Hilton user no longer. This hotel is poorly managed, dirty & has a serious leak contributing to damp rooms and my quess will be mold which will be hidden over time. I specifically booked this hotel to save a little bit of money while attending a funeral. I specifically booked a hotel with a pool so that my kids could get some energy out after a long drive. Nowhere was I informed that the pool would be closed. So we get to our hotel with three children that need to get energy out and we’re unable to swim as planned . We get to our room and it has not been fully cleaned, there was a catch-up container and greasy fingerprints all over the dresser. We were moved to a room that was much smaller And had a large dehumidifying device inside. The room was so damp that my daughterā€˜s hair started to curl, our throats started to feel sore and our skin felt sticky right away. We asked to be moved yet again and was sent to another room. This room again, not up to the standard of clean by Hilton and much smaller than the room I originally booked. We also went down to where the breakfast area was & there was water damage causing a portion to be clocked off with caution tape! Confirming my concerns when we were in the damp room. There is a leak going from the 5th floor, where we were all the way to the lobby! Dangers of mold! After no pool, cleanliness issues & concerns about the dampness in the hotel, we wanted to leave. The Front desk attendant said they could not do anything until the morning when manager arrives. Considering we were there for a funeral in the morning, we did not want to have to deal with it in the morning with emotions being high. We called Hilton. They would not move us to a comparative Hilton nearby but said we would receive our points & a refund back. Noone was at the front desk when we left. I trusted Hilton to honor their word & to make this right. Now, I am told that we will only receive our points & no refund. Like I will spend another cent with this company. Hopefully I can cash out my points & be done. I wish I took pics of the first two rooms.

We stayed here because of the location that was convenient for our purposes. After one night, I will never stay here again. I'm a member in6 the Hilton Honors loyalty program and like the Hampton brand, but not this one. There were many issues but the big one was air quality. We were assigned a room on the second floor and went up there and immediately noticed the hallways felt very warm and the air very moist. We noticed a musty smell too. We got to our room and the air conditioner worked in there, but the musty odor was definitely there too. Poor air quality is something one worries about the whole time the air is breathed in and out. We spent the night and in the morning, went downstairs for the breakfast. The eggs and bacon were quite good, but the oatmeal they had was the instant variety, in packets. For this, we needed hot water. The urn labeled HOT WATER had water, but it was not hot. It was only room temp. I looked for someone to possibly heat up the water for me and didn't see any Hampton employee in the breakfast area. There's a doorway that leads to the back room where the supplies for the breakfast area are kept. I walked back there and no one was there either. Then I noticed another doorway from this room to another room in back of it and an employee was on her cellphone there. I had to interrupt her conversation but asked if she could heat up some water for my oatmeal. She told me I had to go find the other urn of Hot Water out by the front desk. I felt she could be more watchful of items like hot water running out in the breakfast area, and I felt she could have been more helpful to me too. I found some hot water and she resumed her phone call. The reconstituted instant oatmeal was pretty good. That's the best thing I can say about our breakfast. We will not be back. There are other Hampton Inn properties in Jax that we like. We are surprised this one still calls itself Hampton.

THEY DO NOT LET LOCAL JACKSONVILLE RESIDENTS STAY!

For some background, I am a Hilton Gold Member, Hilton loyalist when I travel, and I have also been a GM of several hotels. My seven your old son and husband were on their annual "Boys Weekend". I booked this hotel because it was convenient to the church we attend so it was perfect. I digitally checked them into the room, chose the room, and added my husband's name to the reservation. I did all the right steps. But when he got to the hotel and tried to check-in they told him because he was a resident of Jacksonville, he was NOT allowed to stay here and that they would cancel his reservation and he'd have to stay somewhere else. He called me, frustrated, and I told him to speak to the Manager. He said he did speak to the manager and they told him if he had another ID that was not from Jacksonville, that he would be allowed to stay. So he would have to drive back home, get a different ID that didn't have his address on it and then they would allow him to say.

Once he got home and explained the situation to me I called the same line that I booked the hotel at and asked them if they knew of this rule and they claimed they didn't. So they called the hotel and I guess confirmed that they were privately owned (franchised) and the owner did not allow local residents. I was MIND BLOWN. I had no idea that Hilton allowed this to be a thing, especially when they weren't even at full occupancy. My money is green just like the person whose ID didn't say Jacksonville on it.

I called the hotel, and to save me the anxiety of reliving the situation---everyone I spoke to was RUDE and ENTITLED and not helpful. Tisha was the front desk person that answered the phone and Jessica was the Manager. They gave me the name Quinn Burell as the GM. I never reached out to this person, but if I may suggest that you put a disclaimer on the website, with the Hilton Reservation line, and CALL ALL OF YOUR ARRIVALS DAYS IN ADVANCE so that you don't ruin their entire weekend plans. And if you claim you call your arrivals like Tisha said you do then someone dropped the ball and didn't do their job.

My husband and son ended up staying at the Home2Suites at the Town Center (a few miles away from this hotel) and had an amazing rest of the weekend. Highly recommend staying there and not this hotel. It's cleaner, more updated, great service, and breakfast and in close proximity to everything and most importantly WELCOMES...

Worst experience ever had at a hotel. No hot water was only the beginning of this nightmare. We were charged for the next night at this hotel. We didn’t stay there another night we moved to another hotel that had hot water. This is my second review of this disaster of a hotel The so called manager has no clue of how to be curtious much less helpful to customers. Let my experience save anyone from experiencing the same. Don’t stay here you will thank me later. My first review may disappear. This February 7, 2024. Dont give the desk your card because they will charge you when you don’t stay there. The 100% Customer guarantee does not apply here at I 295 & Baymeadows Hampton inn

2-20-24 Been one month tomorrow since I was charged for a night I did not stay. Had no hot water why would I stay there another nite? I’ve tried corporate office with email and phone calls. Keep getting the run around. I’m wondering if anyone else was charged for a night you were not there? That could be a lucrative cash flow. I’ve also tried calling the hotel and can not get the manager on phone At this point they have stolen the money. It’s not the amount that gets me it’s the fact they can get away with fraudulent charges to a card that they had no authority to do so. Wecc bc we’re already back in GA when they used my card. It’s now 2-26-24 and still have not gotten our money refunded from this hotel. In the event you have to overnight in Jacksonville FL do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here I295 and Baymeadows Once they get your card they can charge anything they want to on it. Even if it’s a couple of days after the fact. If there was a negative review number there’s would be just that. No hot water entire stay and charged full price. Told them we wouldn’t be back checked out and left. Charged for the night we were not there. 2-28-24 Still getting the run around from corporate and from the Hampton Inn at I295 & Baymeadows in Jacksonville FL. They have been using the money they stole from us for over a month now. They have a lucrative fraud going on and don’t want to lose it. Charged full price for a room without hot water. Not just when we were there but for the next night when we were not there. We checked out before 8am and told the front desk we would not be back, They already have our card and they used it again for the next night after we were gone. This doesn’t sound like something that’s...
