Belinda the hiring manager is clearly a RACIST!! The way she treated my mom and myself was definitely dismissive. On 09/08/2023 I went into the store on San Jose as I always do at any TJMAXX and my first stop was the jewelry counter. Belinda was assisting other customers but she walked right pass without saying anything or acknowledging me and my mother. She could have least said I’ll be with you in one second but she looked us right in the face and kept walking. I decided to walk away because I didn’t want to let my emotions get the best of me and I wanted to respond in a way that wouldn’t make me look bad. I went to the shirts area which was right across from the counter. Like 3 minutes later another lady walked over and yes she was caucasian, but as soon as that lady got to the counter she asked her if she wanted to look at something and the lady said yes then she said give me a second I’m finishing up with some customers and I’ll be right over. She could have easily said the same thing to us but she chose not to. I thought for a second that I could have been overreacting, but she did the same thing to the next customer that was black. She saw those ladies looking and didn’t say anything to them, she just starting hanging up clothes, so I went and asked her did she work at the jewelry department and her response was that she worked everywhere and then I said well I’m sure those people at the counter need help then she walked over. I’m saying all of this to say I spend a lot of money in T.J.MAXX and if this is the type of things they support I will gladly take my money elsewhere. I will also spread the word on all platforms because everyone needs to know if they do. I don’t support racism and she needs to realize that black people have money too. If she can’t help ALL people then she needs to find...
Read moreToday I was extremely disappointed with my shopping trip, I am not one to usually complain but, I am a frequent shopper at this tj maxx and have been shopping here for more than 5+ years. Today I came in to look around and see if I could find any new clothing items for the summer. I found a couple pieces and went to the fitting room where a older lady with glasses was working. I waited as she was helping the lady before me and she was being extremely rude to her and giving her an unnecessary attitude. I finally came up and she just goes “put them on the rack”. I put them got my number then tried them on. I came out and she was no where to be seen, i waited a minute or so and so i just left the clothing items i didn’t need on the rack and then the number on the shelf. I turn the corner and continue to look at the clothes when a lady comes around the corner yelling at me saying I need to come back and she needs to make sure I didn’t steal anything. When I went back the items I didn’t need were still hanging on the empty rack so she was able to tell I hadn’t stolen anything and whatever I didn’t need was left. I understand its policy to count the clothes but she came around the corner yelling at the top of her lungs to make it seem as if I was stealing and making a big deal. Especially since i clearly had what i needed held in my hand and wasn’t hiding them. I simply didn’t see her anywhere around and wasn’t going to wait until she took her time coming back. This is extremely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable with how many people turned around staring. I never had a problem with the employees at this store til today and I hope she can fix her attitude towards customers who just want to try clothing on. Update her...
Read moreRosa H. was one of the most rude and slow employees I have encountered. My girlfriend and I waited in a long line, and were finally called up to register 1. As we walk up, Rosa H walks away from the register to do adjust a candy shelf but half by half an inch and starts fixing the candy bags, making us wait even longer (keep in mind the line has at least 20 people in it) you would think Rosa would have some sense of urgency. Rosa then comes over and does not say hello or greet us and starts scanning our items very slowly. We were purchasing jewelry cleaner and the tag was ripped and she couldn’t find a price. I told her I usually pay $3.99 and so did a co-worker next to her. Rosa decides to leave the register again and slowly walk to attempt to find another one after we said it was the last one. 5 minutes later she slowly returns and charges me $3.99 and says she couldn’t find it (again keep in mind the line of people is only getting longer.) I informed Rosa of the family discount I have and she started interrogating me and arguing with me. I frequently shop here probably twice a week and have never had an issue with using it. I then go to pay with a gift card and she rudely says “why didn’t you tell me you were using a gift card” and demanded the gift card. My girlfriend and I have a lot of patience but we were both shocked at the way we were treated by Rosa H and the...
