Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Jacksonville

If I could leave a negative star I would put negative 5 in place. Woman whom appeared to be shift lead at this chipotle, on may 1st at around 7:00 pm, was insulting and clearly ignorant when it comes to putting effort into her job. The place was busy and after waiting in a long line just as everyone else, when my boyfriend tried to order a kids meal and a chicken bowl, the first girl who took our order clearly couldn’t hear. She heard two kids meals and Instead of returning my boyfriends kindness when he kept saying excuse me, I needed this not that I’m sorry, she became irritable and snappy resulting in her yelling back at him and rolling her eyes whenever he tried to get his food made properly. She ended up skipping him entirely and ignoring him when he would say excuse me again. After the cashier lady checked us out, she charged us for the chicken bowl that the woman never tried to make! When we went back to try and get the chicken bowl that she just charged us for, the shorter woman whom appeared to be the shift lead with the keys, clearly didn’t want to listen to the kind shorter girl next to her trying to help her understand what we were saying. When the shift lead finally understood that we never got the food we were just charged for a second before, the shift lead forced us to go around the longer line, when we already waited before like everyone else and were CHARGED for it?? When we asked well why; we just waited and you just saw us, the shift lead became combative and rolled her eyes at us, sneered at us, and refused to make our food that we paid for. In the end we took the refund, cause yeah I’m gonna get my money back, but what the hell? I get it. I also have worked in food service for years, I get screamed at on the daily over bs reasons. This should’ve been rectified easily by saying I’m sorry at the least. Had no problem waiting, but to be nasty and sneer at us while forcing us to stand in the line going out the building? Instead they wanted to be nasty, rude, and clearly incompetent when it could’ve been rectified by simple compassion on a humanitarian level. Idk maybe it’s just me but a simple “im sorry let us fix that with a refund” would’ve been better than a nasty blunt “refund?” On top of the eye roll sneer combo I got instead of the bowl. When you take someone’s money but don’t check your team to make sure the food is MADE, you’re holding a theoretical sign that says don’t go to this location no matter what...

Foods fine, service is kind of ridiculous. Ordered through GrubHub due to an expiring credit. Got all the confirmations, got to the store and the lady at the register had no idea what I was talking about (Take out order, my name, GrubHub), didn't bother checking the bags, did nothing other than say "I can't help you." I contacted GrubHub who immediately tried to call them about four times, phone rang with no answer - to be fair, for one of the calls they had a couple customers but nothing for the rest. I again asked for some help, she denied it. I hit up some support chats and after twenty minutes decided I was done, went to grab a drink at the counter to leave and saw my bag sitting behind the counter with my name and a big GRUBHUB printed on it. Why I couldn't get 30 seconds of actual help on a twenty minute time span is beyond me.

So normally I'd say it isn't their fault since a third party service was involved, but this was just completely ridiculous. I'm sure I sounded more irritated than I should have but this place is absurd at trying their best to do...

STAY AWAY — SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!! Look at all the 1 and 2 star reviews that same the same thing!!!!!!!! This Chipotle is HORRIBLE. The food quality is poor, the flavor nonexistent, and they are constantly running out of staples such as chips or shredded cheese or salsa etc… I sent my 13 year old son in to order and they took advantage of him. For $8.10 each we got burrito bows that were basically a pound and half of white rice, about 3 tablespoons of black beans, and maybe — being generous here— maybe two tablespoons of chicken. And no, we didn’t order the veggie bowl. Speaking of veggies, they were raw and flavorless. Where is the quality control? Where is management? This Chipotle in my opinion is a joke. Even worse the chips were soggy and completely flavor and salt free. What, did they run out of salt and lime too? Please please please stay away. I travel for work and have eaten Chipotle in just about every major city in Florida and this location is one of the worst, if not THE worst. Run away...
