Jasper Parklands — Attraction in Jasper

This place deserves a five-star rating because it is a triple upgrade to the River Walk. I absolutely love the scenery that this place has, you can take gorgeous pictures in a lot of the places that are on the trails. There is a pond, waterfall, stream that you can walk over, gym equipment, water fountain for kids to play in, and even a wooden structure that kids can play on if they want to get some of those “zoomies” out of their system.

This place is an amazing place for photographers to take pictures and get some beautiful photos to add to their albums. You can also encounter wildlife on some of the trails if you are lucky since it is out of the way of traffic and loud city sounds than other places that are available to the public. The parklands are also animal friendly so if you are a person with animals that you want to take on a walk, then this is a great spot to take them so you and your animal get some exercise. Jasper has some of the best walking trails of any small city. They are quite extensive and scenic. With the addition of the newly created "The Parklands," they have upped their game. They have paved trails, splash park (although I saw it listed, I did not see the splash park.) They have exercise equipment, play areas, woodlands, wetlands, ponds, cascading water, tree house and an incredibly nice enclosed and air conditioned pavilion. There is a1.6 mile perimeter tail and a full 2 mile trail that are newly paved. It is dog friendly and smoke free. Fishing is allowed from the pier, but I would release as fish and leave them for the kids....

We watched the Eclipse here. Traveled 5 hours and picked this place out ahead of time off of gut instinct within the path of totality. Fantastic decision. Beautiful scenery, pet friendly, friendly locals. This park is very clean, lots of stuff to do and great place to relax and has everything for the whole family. I only wish I had a place like this where I live. I appreciate the folks in Jasper for the Parklands it'll always be a very special...
