It was a dark night. 10:15 to be precise. The family, joyous from our gleeful trip to southern Indiana’s bustling tourist spot known as Holiday World, was making the venture back to our living residency further north of this joyous world of Seasons and Holidays. As we share our stories in revelry hunger began to set in. Searching for a place to satiate this growing desire, we stumbled upon a small quadrilateral building emitting just enough light to draw us in like moths to a bug zapper. This destination we trekked to was named Sonic. Good ole Sonic, similar to the friendly blue hedgehog that has grace our tv screens for decades. However this sonic had the means to quench our growing hunger pangs. As a family of 6, we are not a family devoid of confusion and disarray at a restaurant, however… THIS WAS THE SINGLE WORST DRIVE-THRU EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD. NOT ONLY WERE WE HANDED THE WRONG ORDER ENTIRELY THE FIRST TIME THROUGH THE DRIVE-THRU, WHICH MIGHT I SAY WAS THE MOST AMOUNT OF TOTS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN ONE ORDER, BUT WE WERE HANDED THE WRONG ORDER AGAIN ONCE WE WENT UP TO THE WINDOW AND MADE IT CLEAR OUR ORDER WAS MESSED UP. Now, one would think that after two mistakes, that the order would be corrected and the employees would feel so bad about the errors and missteps that led to this point, that they would fix the order and make things right… WELL DON’T PLACE YOUR BETS ON THAT HAPPENING AT THIS PLACE, A PLACE THAT ONCE APPEARED TO BE A RESTAURANT AND NOW APPEARS MORE AKIN TO A FRONT FOR PEDDLING SQUARE MYSTERY BURGERS AND LIMITLESS AMOUNTS OF STALE TOTS. APPARENTLY THE RULE OF THREES APPLIES TO MAKING MISTAKES AT THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY MESSED UP OUR ORDER A THIRD TIME AND BY THAT POINT WE HAD CROSSED OVER THE THRESHOLD OF CARING AND ATE WHAT WAS GIVEN TO US LIKE FERAL BEASTS AFTER A FRESH CATCH. Read moreI just wanted to give a shout out to one of the managers at Sonic. While waiting on my meal, I witnessed Breanna and her team in a stressful situation. A bus full of what looked like highschool kids pulled up and they placed a very large order. Breanna kept her team together and had everything under control. Although it was very busy with more cars pulling up to order, she still managed to have such a positive attitude. She kept her team in a positive mind set and got everything out as fast as they could. The group of people seemed to be very pleased with their order as they were all cheering her on and clapping. There was a total of three employees working, including herself. I've witnessed on several occasions, Breanna interacting with customers in such a positive attitude. She has such a bright spirit and wonderful personality. She's fast and professional. She spreads her cheerful attitude on to her customers and coworkers from what i've seen. I just wanted to let it be known that Sonic in Jasper has such a great crew working for them. I will definitely return to this location often! Way to go sonic!! Keep up...
Read moreI pulled in to a line around the building. 10 mind un with very little movement i knew it was bad. I was patient n finally got to order. The lady was kind patient listened and got my order correct. Took about 20 mins to get to window n it didn't look chaotic inside but I knew it had to be one ir two people only. The woman at the window was extremely nice. She explained their staffing issue n was bubbly bright confident and kind. She figured which order was mine as there were multiple drive offs. She got half my order done n out to us and the rest followed It was all hot fresh and correct. I was baffled at her ability to be in control and be calm during a truly horrible situation, potentially. I understand she is a manager and kudos to whoever hired her. That woman had the best customer service skills and her representation of your restaurant speaks volumes. If you aren't planning to you may need to reconsider a raise so you keep her.
