Good and interesting food options. They really are into putting cheetos and onion rings on a lot of their food which is different.
They have a sign outside stating your only allowed to stay for 2 hours to accommodate other guests. We had a 30 minute wait prior.
The owner was out and about in the lobby asking people how the food was tasting and things which I thought was cool. She never visited our table, well she did but only to tell us we had to leave.
She was nice about it but it was just awkward, she didn't ask how our visit was first she just came over and awkwardly asked if we could leave because they had paying customers leaving because of the long wait times.
I have never, ever, been asked to leave because of others that didn't want to wait. We had to wait too, and we were paying customers as well. Some of us were considering ordering some dessert but we didn't get to because we had to be shuffled out to make room for other paying guests.
Very odd experience. I get they are new and busy but either get more seating, they have a whole outdoor patio area they could utilize and don't for more seating and could use patio heaters.
The food was pretty good but I won't be back if I am on a timer by the time we walk in. We were only seated for 1 hour 30 minutes, we had a 30 minute wait before we were sat which I guess counts as part of your 2 hour limit. Food took 40 minutes to get to us from when we were seated.
UPDATE:
I am not exactly sure what "exactly" happened then, because I would really enjoy knowing, since I time how long I am at a resteraunt to give accruate reviews (time to seat, time from plate to table after ordering, time spent socializing, etc). I did generalize the time for simplicity, but it was actually 1 hour 41 minutes we were seated at our table, still under the 2 hour "limit" that was imposed by the restaurant, and the food took 27 minutes from order to table.
I have eaten at establishments with over 2 hour wait times, and have never, ever, been asked to leave because of other customers having to wait. This was the only place I have ever been approached and asked to leave before. I have sat at busier places for 4 hours and never been asked to leave. Enjoyed the food though, but won't be back unless they get more seating, again, we would have enjoyed sitting outside but their entire patio had no tables set out which would have increased their seating by at least 33% considering the size...
Read moreTo put it plain and simple if you have any food allergy don’t waste your time in coming to this restaurant. I told the waitress I have a gluten allergy and she stated that I have just the person for you to talk to. This other woman comes out and I explain my allergy and how she proceeded should have been a cue for us to just get up and walk out of the restaurant. But typically Mexican cuisine is extremely accessible to me. They do have a dedicated chip fryer and their made in house tortillas are safe. However, she said in so many words that they don’t know what is in their dishes or any of the seasonings that the cooks use in the kitchen. She then went on to say that it would be too difficult to talk to the kitchen staff and for them to understand what was being said to them to find out what ingredients were used. I ordered the retro salad and asked if any seasoning was used on the meats and they said that there wasn’t. It was also said that all the salads were safe and compliant. With this particular salad no dressing comes with it. To get a cup of ranch it was 1.50$ Also, For the cheese dip we asked if they added any flour to the dish and the woman gave us such a response that she was appalled that we would even suggest such a thing; but just moments earlier they are telling is they have no idea what the kitchen uses. I got sick two hours later.
My husband doesn’t have an allergy and stated the food was good overall and fair prices. Outside are was nice and the staff was pleasant overall.
Just be careful if you have a true food allergy because it’s unlikely they can...
Read moreGreat food, you can genuinely tell that the owners and the staff care immensely about the business and the quality of the food and service. Now that this type of aesthetic is becoming visibly more popular and present in many restaurants including the Mexican industry it’s great that Jasper got blessed with a place like this to spice it up a bit. Scenery and location is exquisite and i think the vibe of the restaurant is overall pleasant and up-lifting. They have a large menu with a pretty wide selection and some unique dishes and drinks that many other restaurants don’t include in their menu which helps set them apart from the crowd along with a detailed description to follow every meal on the list. They have an array of desserts/cakes that are shipped in freshly made by a local bakery and they have a decent children’s menu as well as child accommodation. They seem to be overall very involved in the resteraunt industry and business and seem to take passion and pride in what they do, even branching out and having their own social media accounts. I know the owners personally and i can definitely tell that they are proud of what they have...
