We had a wonderful time and got lucky for the time of year. I wish I could have gave this place 5 stars but I can't. Here are the cons this place is extremely unpredictable. We know they cant control the weather and ancient old equipment. However they have no buisness charging resort staying guests for lift passes, if they can't guarantee you'll be able to ski. Or worse be so busy that youvare waiting hours for lifts that you only get a handful of runs in a day in. I also wouldn't call this place a resort. You are paying for location and location only. The beds at stateside were very uncomfortable and they are still using spring mattresses. Howies was amazing for dinner, the continental in the morning was nasty and was unacceptable for $25 a person. We just had coffee and toast since I paid for the vouchers in advance. If there is a next time we will bring our own breakfast. The hotel staff were great and helpful. There are no pools or any hot tubs for after a long day on the mountain that was a big disappointment for us to find out. There was a hot tub in the water park but no thanks. A ton of babies and toddlers in diapers in 94°water, we'll pass. The water park was cute however extremely small and it was a 4 minute drive Not walking diatnace and cost $33 a person. So it shouldn't be saying you have access. You don't, absolutely fraudulent marketing. If you are visiting during peak season I wouldn't even bother going or buying tickets.. It can be hrs before you are able to get your hands on a tube. And there's no pool to really swim or an adults only section. Finally the opperating hours of this place The whole place shuts down at 5 or 6pm. It be nice if the arcade and movie theater ect was open to offset the slopes or even later in case the weather's bad but nope. We had fun but for the price you could be doing better things in...
Read moreOur stay started off on the wrong foot. This hotel is quite confusing if you’ve never been here before—there are two separate entrances and several condo-style buildings in between, and Google Maps actually directed us to the wrong Jay Peak property. GPS took us to the Jay Peak Resort, our reservation was for the Jay Peak State Side.
When we finally arrived and checked in, the room had a strong chemical odor, as if a deep carpet cleaning had just been done. When we called the front desk, they confirmed that was indeed the case. We asked to change rooms but were told the hotel was at full capacity. The staff offered a condo alternative, but after a six-hour drive, we were too exhausted to repack and move again, so we decided to stay and opened the windows to air the room out.
To make matters worse, the room didn’t even have a TV remote, so we had to call the front desk and wait for someone to bring one up. There’s also no bar or lounge on-site to grab a drink—you have to drive about 7–9 minutes to the other side of the resort for that. Additionally, the air vents in the room were quite dirty and clearly overdue for cleaning.
Overall, it wasn’t a great first impression, and the property could definitely use better maintenance, clearer guest information, and improved...
Read moreMaybe after so many day trips I romanticized staying at JP, but I was very underwhelmed by the experience. The rooms were up-to-date, but the linens were gross. My comforter was ripped in multiple spots, And the towels used in the bathroom needed a good bleaching. One towel looked like it hadn't been cleaned. They ran out of stateside shampoo, Yet nobody asked the hotel down the road for more? I did. Also when mom asked the front desk for more towels we received floor bath mats 🤔 Clips and reels closed the second we arrived Saturday labor day weekend, the ice arena was closed, Leaving the next 2 rainy day activities to the arcade...
