I have a personal rule to wait a week before posting a really bad review, and soooo last week I took my son to Jay Peak Pump House to enjoy so much needed water therapy from all this snow, and my 19 month old loves water! We played for a while in the swimming pool then headed to the lazy river were I noticed the life guards not paying attention more than half the time. Now my kids safety is my number one priority while near water, so I would expect the company who we put our trust in to at least have the same priority for everyone enjoying this water park. I didn't trust the place so much that we literally did not stay over 2 hours in this place. So I then take my child to the family dressing room for him and I to get ready to leave, we get dressed and go to go out the door and nothing. The door is not opening, it's broke, my phone is dead. So I start knocking on the door, then pounding, then kicking, then screaming, nothing. It took me about 20 mins to get someone to notice I was stuck. At this point im already nervous so I start asking questions and I hear nothing they walked away with out even saying a thing, then they come back after 10 mins and say they are working on getting the door open, every few mins I would ask for an update and get nothing. They would literally walk away without saying a word to me on there progress. I asked for someone to call 911 like 5 tines and instead I am juat ignored. So after almost an hour of being stuck in a 95 degree bathroom they get the door open, and instead of apologizing they act like there mad at me for being stuck there, the DIRECTOR of the company was the guy on the other side with zero communication skills, now I don't work at a water park never have but you would think manners come with life not with training to work at a water park. Not one I'm sorry, no apology, nothing. They gave a refund to someone I know but very little, not sure if they thought we came together but if they communicated more they would have realized this. This will not end here, they will pay for what they did to my son and I, and will be calling the Pump House soon to figure out all the names of everyone involved and will update my post with thoes names asap. Just beware of where you bring your kids we all want our children to have fun, but this place is not that place. There's not much to offer for indoor water fun and I realize that but I choose my son's safety before having a few hours of what could be very...
Read more(2023 review) The kids love it and the food. They have pizza, burgers, chicken fingers, fries and dot ice cream. For adults the food is gross. The beers are $10 each. There is an outdoor hot tub that is fantastic. Lockers are $30 but you get $20 credit back if you leave before the end of the day. The lazy river is not lazy it has waves. You can't bring your drink on the river. Only 4 slides, two with tubes and one where the floor drops out from underneath you. Water Basketball, water rock climbing wall.
Update (2024) the water park front desk was closed all weekend. You had to get towels and bracelets in the gift shop. None of the doors to the water park were open. All locked, you had to enter through the gift shop or walk through the arcade, so annoying! This time the locker rooms were dirty and so was the outdoor hot tub. I wasn't impressed this time around.
Also the water park closes at 4pm on Sunday
Update 2025 This place gets worse every year. They really need some improvements. The bathrooms are gross the hot tube barley had any water in it and had tons on black floating flakes. The bathing suit drying machine doesn't work in the women's bathroom. The only staff available is in the pro shop and she was so rude! I had a 4 night stay with the water park included and one of the bracelets broke off and I asked for a replacement and I was told to go to the front desk. In previous years I was able to get a replacement in the pro shop. They also had closed slides. Needless to say we are done with Jays peak. As the room are a disaster completely falling apart, and missing so much!
*MOST IMPORTANLTY CHECK THE SCHEDULE ON THE JAYS PEAK WEBSITE AS THEIR HOURS CONSTANLY CHANGE AND THEY DONT UPDATE...
Read moreNever again. Recieved tickets as a gift. If I had paid for them, I would have asked for a refund within 15 minutes of arrival. Went with my daughter, son in law and 3 grandsons, 9 year old twins and a 4 year old. Website makes a big deal of calling their " lazy river" Big River. They also have an Activity Pool. Website said Activity River is closed. Ummmm.... ok, which attraction is closed? It was the river. We arrived at 10:30. They opened at 10. Not a single table or seat left. Place was already crowded. No place to set stuff down. Crammed as much as we could into a locker. Found a corner at lunch time near the closed river and spread our towels on the floor to eat. Lunch for 3 kids and 3 adults, burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings. $94. If you want to bring lunch , pack a pb&j or something else that you don't need to keep cold. No coolers allowed. Unless, of course, you want to go to your car in your wet bathing suit and retrieve items from your cooler and carry them in in a bag. The Mill Pond kiddie area was packed with 12 year olds and up pushing the 5 and under crowd out of the way to use the mini slides because lines at other slides were horrendous. No staff near Mill Pond to deal with it. Our 4 year old ended up playing at the edge of the Activity Pool in a life vest. At one point, even standing we were basically elbow to elbow whether in the water or out. Long line to return locker key and get $20 deposit back. $40 up front for locker. No price reduction for having significant part of waterpark "closed for the season". What season, they're open year round. Unbelievable that they don't have a max. capacity. Never again! My advice:...
