Aerow Archery — Attraction in Jersey City

This was such a cool and unique experience for my kids and I. As soon as we pulled up, we could see into the space, which had a great clean, calm, relaxed feel. The owner got us set up - prices were more than fair for the experience, he got us all the appropriate equipment, gave us a quick but thorough safety overview and a mini-lesson on technique, and we were off. He continued to oversee the range, and there was not a moment that felt or appeared unsafe in any way. He also continued to provide pointers here and there. My 4-year-old fell asleep on my wife’s lap, so they chilled on the giant couch, listening to the music and relaxing. My girls are 9 and 12, so the owner had a rolling target set up to shorten their target distance. Then he pushed it back about halfway through the hour when they were more comfortable. We all walked away with targets full of holes, a cool experience, and a plan to come back another day. Saw a few couples, which seemed like a really fun, unique date night idea. Great Iowkey place. If you need it they give an introduction without extra charge and explain the basic mechanics of the range. You’re given 6 arrows and after each round a manager calls out when it’s safe to retrieve your arrows. It’s pretty much unli shooting for the hour you have reserved and it’s more than enough especially when first starting out. Great place to hangout and chill. Only archers can walk into the range section but friends and family have a clear view from behind. While shooting they keep watch and give pointers on how to keep improving. Really patient. Had so much fun I already made another reservation for this weekend. If I get good enough i plan to invest in my own bow so I won’t have to...

We had a 12 year old birthday party for my daughter and 12 of her friends here. Amy was a pleasure to work with in planning, and was always quick to respond to my many questions via email. The location is a funky converted warehouse that airy and open and beautifully renovated. Amy and her team took great care of us, including the 2 instructors who were very attentive and the kids were given the opportunity to use the archery range for the entire 2 hours that we were booked. I'd recommend Aerow Archery as a great place to throw a unique birthday party for any kid who has ever done archery, or has expressed an interest in trying.
