House with a VERY VERY loud ventilation and heating system!!! Keeps you up at night! The manager kept hiding behind the fact that this is the system of the house so he didn't do anything other than lowering the temperature which made the ac turn on. He could have opted a different room but he did not. ||It was kept clean in the public space on a daily basis. The room did not get cleaned but was clean on arrival. We had to ask for clean towels. All the rooms suppose to have TV. This is not the case. When asked we got a smart TV put on a table that was to small for it on day 4 of our stay. The room and the whole apartment had no full mirror. There was a lot missing which made the stay uncomfortable. No shelves in the closet, no mirror, no hair blower, no amenities, no table, no own heating /cooling system, no cleaning in the room, creeky bed. Neighborhood was slightly reasonable.lots of closed down shops But we felt save enough. Easy access to rail to NYC. (30 min) The live in genator was nice and tried to make you comfortable.||if you letarly just need a bed for a short stay with no extra's then this is ok. It is not an hotel but a house with rooms. Free parking(except for garbage pick up day) good wifi, shop on the corner for groceries. It is not the worst but the heating/ventilation noise made the stay really uncomfortable for us. They have...
Read moreI travel quite often and often stay at hotels or motels or air b n bs, this is BY FAR THE WORST place I’ve stayed in. The environment is super sketchy. We reserved the “executive queen room”. We basically just walked in because no official check in. Bathroom had mold all over. Shower curtains too. There were some used bar soaps in the tub and sink with hair on it. It had a horrible smell. We asked for soap, as they advertised that we would have a soap dispenser and other amenities, first they brought us used shampoo and we again asked for bathing soap and they brought us a half used bottle of liquid body wash. Super sketchy. I asked for some clean towels and got a dirty used towel with stains all over. The site manager or whatever he is was so inappropriate. He had no sense of boundaries and is just honestly awkward and bizarre. I could go on and on but just DONT DO IT. the price is not worth the stress. There are cheaper places or places just as cheap with decent customer service and attentiveness. Save yourself...
Read moreWe reserved the Queen room which had a private bath. The bathroom could use some renovating and there were no curtains or blinds up to the windows so privacy was nil. That issue was rectified the next day. The room was spacious and clean but there was no dresser, no television and you have to provide your own food and drink. Complimentary coffee is not even provided. The neighborhood is a pretty rough one, a lot going on outside and you have to find parking early if you want a space. I don't advise staying there, but if you have nowhere better to stay then take the chance. It's actually a multi dwelling house converted into single rooms. One important tip: When booking, make certain that you actually have reservations before you go there because if you don't, you really won't have anywhere to stay. It happened to us the second time we visited J.C. and in the middle of the night we were stuck with no room although we had a confirmation of our reservation, and they refused to accommodate us. We'll never stay...
