I had a good experience with the people, they seem honest in terms of pricing and are friendly and nice to deal with but i was recommended a gun known for having the most serious defect we've seen in all of recent history and a rifle that has been multiple times filmed blowing up and having a catastrophic malfunction...the p320 they were 100% aware of it's been talked about publicly by many and the other, they may not have known..the lady said she doesn't know if anyone who ever had issues but one quick Google search of "Riley defence ak blows up " you can see for yourself
Edit: if I'm going to be honest, i am a bit annoyed that they recommended a sig p320 to me (who has never bought or owned a gun before ) knowing that there was multiple reports and lawsuits that resulted in bodily harm after the gun went off on its own.
There was police officers, military and civilians even some caught on video just had it holstered or sitting on a desk and boom, it discharged.
I know more now and am aware of it being "fixed" but a few more reports now prove that may not be true and sig is denying and gaslighting everyone because well, they can't admit their own wrongdoing while a ton of lawsuits are pending and already 100+ mil has been paid in settlements.
I carry it concealed and haven't had the time or energy to go through this states hellish process in order to obtain yet another permit to purchase but i regret blindly trusting and taking advice that may end up putting a hole in my legs or... Worse -_-
At the time this was purchased that was not a secret it was well known fact and anybody that knew or paid any attention would have known that so i don't get why it was even recommended much less sold in general, j would have personally pulled it from my shelves due to liability but also just to err on the side of caution.
And the second thing I purchased was O'Reilly defense AK47 and let me tell you, this thing fell apart and is junk. I do actually have a lot of experience on this platform but a week after it was double feeding, failing to eject and stove piping
I sent it back to Riley they found a slew of issues way. Far worse then just a handful of things. They were very easy and quick to facilitate the shipping and process, even talked to them for me which i recognize and appreciate.
Even after all that they forgot or fail to fix the fact that the handguard was loose. They had to send me a new gas block and believe it or not they sent me one that was not even welded properly. Im lucky i noticed but even still i just had to get A THIRD because the one on the gun originally was not properly sized, second was not even welded at the base and well im waiting on the next -_-
I'm probably out of ~$1500-$1600 and stuck with them both because no one would even buy them if i tried to sell them for obvious reasons.
But you would expect that people running a store would know this and it's part of their Duty and job but the fact that gun broker. Com shows the listings for both rarely get sold and that indicates that the entire community knows more then they did or they intentionally misled me or knew and figured it would not be a problem.
It sucks to suck and I guess I should have done my research and I usually am really good about that but I never would have guessed in the year 2025 we still are selling handguns that go off without any warning and guns that normally are very well known for durability and never having catastrophic failures, yet blow up in people's faces.
Mind you both of these things are on video If you go on Google it it's not speculation it's been proven and even recreated.
Be weary, good store and good experience but definitely don't expect them to be super up-to-date or knowledgeable and that would be an understatement considering both of these facts are so widespread every person at the range or that I know has told me the same thing immediately when I mentioned what I bought.
Wouldn't take any suggestions from anyone there and its not their problem if i get hurt but...
Read moreCaso's was absolutely fantastic. I had just received my gun license, and was very nervous about purchasing my first firearm. I had gone on my own, and immediately had said that I wasn't ready to purchase at that day. But boy, did they take care of me like I was. They were absolutely phenomenal. By they, I mean the entire staff. Every representative was both knowledgeable on all makes of firearms, but also extremely friendly and excellent with customer service. I came back a second time with my mom (who didn't know much about firearms but wanted to learn), and we walked out again with a smile. We knew more than ever before, and they even stayed open a little later for us. Before my third visit, I had gone to upstate New York with my family (yes I know I can't purchase the firearm there), but went to a big box store with tons of reps. The service was awful. Extremely not knowing of the products, plus didn't even want to talk to me (I guess because I couldn't give them my money). I ended up going back to Caso's, knowing that I was ready to purchase and EXACTLY which one to get. Once I purchased, the process was quick, easy, and I was once AGAIN explained everything about the firearm, along with showed others AGAIN, to make sure I was completely happy with what I was buying. Right after the purchase I thought, "here comes the millions of accessories they are going to shove down my throat." Absolutely not at ALL. They showed me different accessories available for my gun, but explained they were ALWAYS in stock, always at a solid price, and that I had the freedom to purchase whenever I wanted to. They even recommended going to the range first before buying accessories, to NOT waste money! It was stunning, and I left with a big smile on my face. Thanks for the great customer service guys. I will always come back to you, and...
Read moreFirst time customer and a very happy one!
Got my handgun permit and contacted the store by email. Lisa responded and was quite polite as well as very knowledgeable regarding the handgun I was interested in.
Visited the store in a few days and the reviews here seem to reflect everybody's general assessment of the place -- great place to buy your handgun and accessories.
I am very pleased with my purchase. Along with the handgun Lisa offered to me at competitive prices some necessary accessories for my days at the range.
Seems that the store makes some sacrifices to deliver legal and up to par merchandise and adhere to the gun laws of NJ.
Thank you, Lisa and Caso's Gun-A-Rama as a whole! I will gladly visit you again!
PS: To the people, who posted or likely to post bad reviews -- calm down before you do it and visit the store again, I am sure you will change your mind. I have not heard or seen anyone being unhappy in the store and in the set of reviews. Definitely nobody cares about race and "it doesn't matter if your a black or white" in the words of one of the icons of the black culture in our country. And no, I have not known anyone in the store from before nor am I partial to anything or anyone in the store, it is just my humble...
