Bayside Park — Attraction in Jersey City

Beautiful park designed by John T. Withers, nationally renowned landscape architect, around the turn of the century inspired by the "City Beautiful" movement. The park includes an historical marker for the Morris Canal Historic District. The Morris Canal ran close to here for almost a century until being abandoned in 1924. Not sure why the picture shows the view of the Statue of Liberty. Bayside Park is a beautiful playground. Large playground and a large area for the children can enjoy sprinklers. Top of the line water area. My grandson loves this playground. He tells me he wants to go to the "Big Park". So sweet, it's a little bit of a walk from home but completely worth. Definitely a 5 star park. Easy parking. Clean and well maintained. Playground has a fun climbing piece for older kids and smaller slides play structure for the littles.
