I took a chance on dining in on a wknd night. Due to the kitchen being short staffed the night before and not taking to go orders, I figured Iâd just grab a seat at the bar on this particular night. I walked in towards the end of a performer singing. I wasnât greeted or anything but it didnât bother me since I was going to sit at the bar. There was a drink menu in front of me so I told the waitress/bartender that Iâd look over it. I did have to ask for a regular menu. No biggie. Iâm pretty easy going. After her walking by a time or 2, never asking me if I was ready to place a drink order or food order, I flagged her down and I told her what I wanted to drink. I just wanted one of the beers so she was able to turn around and grab that out of the cooling area. At this time, Iâve had my food menu for about 7-10 mins. Like I said, Iâm simple, I usually get the same thing here. Now this bartender/waitress wasnât one that had to go away from the bar to wait tables, she just had to check on the few people at the bar and make drinks for others. Due to the lack of acknowledgment, I began to think âIâm not really sure if Iâm gonna eat here.â I sat towards the end of the bar. However, I did not know that I was sitting directly next to where the workers prepared the meal baskets. It was at that moment that I attempted to get my waitressâs attention to let her know that I was ready to cash out. Yes a decision had been made, no eating here tonight. I ended up having to get the waitress that was prepping baskets to get my waitressâs attention since she was in lala land. What alarmed me the most was when a couple walked up and stood behind me, the waitress, my waitress, came over and asked âDo you all need anything?â I chuckled a tad bit. I wonât go into detail about that encounter but just know it went hand in hand with the stigma related to Jonesboro, AR. I understand the waitresses may be young, busy, new, whatever. However, acknowledging the customer is a basic task as a server. I used the word server because thatâs what was beside my name in the system when I waited tables years ago. Yes the food is fantastic but, the service depends on the day and apparently the...
Read moreThis is my first and last time at this restaurant. Extremely unfortunate, uncomfortable and disappointing experience.I ordered a breakfast burrito, which after 40 minutes of waiting it finally arrived to the table with more than half the ingredients missing, it was literally taco meat wrapped in a flour tortilla. After mentioning this to the waitress, she returned it back to the kitchen, who confidently said the burrito had all the ingredients as listed and only offered to re-wrap it. I couldn't understand this option as the issue was not the wrapping of the burrito, but the fact that more than half the ingredients were missing. I declined that option and did not eat. Once it was time for the bill to arrive, they planned on charging me for a burrito that was incorrectly made, and that was never eaten. The waitress, who was very nice and approachable, asked for the manager to come speak with us. The manager was rude, dismissive, and adamant that I be charged full price as they are not a "corporate business and charge their customers for the food they make." She also argued with me about the contents of the burrito and insisted that the kitchen staff mentioned everything was correct. I adamantly refused to pay for it and couldn't understand her reaction and accusations as it is not in my interest to make a fuss or come to brunch and not eat. After going back-and-forth for a couple of minutes, she agreed to remove the charge from the bill however, I still received a petty charge of $1.00 for the salsa and sour cream that came on the side of the breakfast plate. I came with four other people; everyone was taken aback by the whole situation, how it was handled and have never experienced something remotely similar in the past. I will never return to this restaurant where the food is barely mediocre and the concept of customer service...
Read moreWe had been wanting to give this place a try for several months. Weekends tend to be very crowded here as it does cater more to the college crowd. This was our 3rd attempt to try. First time we tried to eat here we gave up because of parking and how hard it is to maneuver around in their small parking area. The 2nd time we tried to eat here, the waitress insisted on sitting us at the bar, we specifically said we wanted a table. We dont do bar seating because we are recovering alcoholics and just prefer not to be sitting in front of any bar. There were 3 tables unoccupied, but for whatever reason she couldn't seat us at those. They were really busy so no biggie we will try another time. 3rd try, Hostess sat us at a table that we were literally bumping elbows with the tables behind us no matter how we moved our bodies or the table and chairs. The waitress allowed us to move to a more comfortable spot. We picked this restaurant on this particular day because of the Red Wolf/Razorback game and we wanted to give this place a try as well. Surprisingly they werent that busy at all. We had the cheese sticks for an appetizer, they were ok, the marinara was hotter than the cheese sticks themselves. Husband and I both went with the Uncle John's BBQ burger and fries. Flavor was good, but the hamburger and pork were very dry. Sweet tea was definitely on point though!! We also realized that cheering on the Razorbacks got us some really snobby looks from other patrons in the restaurant as they all seemed to be cheering on the wolves. đ¤ˇđźââď¸ I guess the snobby looks might have been the highlight...
