My husband and I have been clients of B.E. Tek for years, and they have always done good work for us. But I have to tell you about the GREAT job they just did for me!
I was one of "those" people who procrastinated in updating from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on my laptop. Since I use it where I teach, I never could find a convenient time to drop it off and be without it. I finally had a couple of days I knew I wouldn't be at school, so I brought it in.
I was prepared for a pretty high estimate, or for them to tell me they couldn't do it, but Chris was so positive and kind and reassured me that it wouldn't be as much as I thought, and they could, indeed, do it in the time allotted.
So I brought it in on Thursday evening, and I know for a fact they had many other devices to work on, because other staff members attended to three other customers just in the time I was there. They said they'd do the best they could in getting in back to me as soon as possible (I didn't pay for express service), and they knew I needed it by Monday. Trent was very reassuring and kind and said they'd take good care of my laptop; they'd even run the basic diagnostics while they were working on it.
They were as good as their word! They called the very next evening, at 5 pm on Friday, and I was able to pick it up and have been using it this weekend getting ready for Monday. My laptop is all updated and running smoothly, and all my files and apps were still in place.
What great service, at a great price, with great results! Thank you to all the guys...
Read moreBad experience. Purchased a laptop from them 7 or 8 months ago. The charging port became non functional. I take it in, and they say the part will take a week to get in. A week goes by, no call. Another week goes by, I call them. I was told their was an issue with shipping but it should be there anytime. Another week goes by, then another, no call. I call them again, and am told they had to re-order and that it would be another week. Keep in mind I need this laptop for work and would have just bought a new one if I knew it would take this long. By now it's been over a month since I dropped it off, I call again, and am told it's ready and the part was installed. Very annoyed by getting zero communication and having to be the one to call, but I happily go in and pick up my laptop. They charge me 50 bucks plus tax ( I was quoted 60), and that was that. I get home and the laptop does not charge or work. I bring it in, the guy that gave it to me plugs it in a charger, see's it doesn't work then goes in the backroom. He comes back and says that the motherboard is damaged, and the computer is broke, but they charged me for parts and labor. "It was 90 dollars part's and labor (i was quoted 60) we gave you a discount and charged you 50". They did not even bother telling me this when I picked it up!! Read moreBought two computers here and never had an issue at my previous house, then we moved into a new house. I was unaware that my son was having problems with insects because his room is in the basement. We took the computer in and the guy told us what to do to get rid of the insects inside the computer. He also stated that people had dropped of computers before with a similar issue. We spent money to buy the necessary products to kill the insects and we used the product several times. I went to take the computer back in today and was told that they wouldn't look at it. I explained that that is not what I was told when I brought it in before and that the guy never said I couldn't bring it back. I'm not sure if it had to do anything with my race but I felt like both times it did. I spent my money there on two of their refurbished computers and I didn't expect to be treat or feel this way about a situation I had no control over. I hope I get a solution to my sons problem because there are alot of things stored on the computer that are important. We are also getting our house exterminated to prevent this...
