We visited during the lunch our one week. The place was fairly empty for a workday. The parking lot outside was full but that seemed to all be for Waldo Pizza (understandably). The menu here at Kokoro was interesting with several bento options and quite a few Korean dishes as well. My wife and I were in the mood for sushi so that's what we ordered. The lady at the counter took our order without so much as a grin, in fact, we didn't see her smile once during our entire visit. We ordered crab rangoon as a starter and it was ok. It was delivered by the lady at the counter with a "clank" of the plate on the table as the lady looked out the window behind us. The sushi finally arrived and had the least amount of fish I've ever seen in rolls. They were mostly rice with small slivers of fish. The salmon, if you can call it that, came out looking very strange. It was translucent and didn't have the signature fat stripes of salmon. I suspect it was a cheaper fish dyed pink and slightly flavored like salmon but I have no proof of that. All I know is that it was really, really weird. I've eaten a good amount of salmon in a lot of places (including Japan) and never had anything as questionable and strange as that. Check out my attached pictures to see the lean rolls and questionable salmon. Needless to say, we won't be back.

My husband and I ordered several rolls of sushi for take-out. We were disappointed by the size of the rolls compared with how much we paid ($40). We classed it up at home using some of our own fun dishes. We might try one of their soups sometime while dining in—my husband saw a couple eating soup at a table while he was waiting for our food; the quality and amount looked much better for the price. Not satisfied with our experience here yet, but I will update the review if we try it again and enjoy a better experience.

I have gone here a couple times with my family, and the food, service, and environment is always top notch ! Lanterns offer mood lighting, and dark wooden tables and chairs are very cozy ! The service is friendly, attentive, and the food is delicious and high quality. Their new ramen bowls taste fresh, are creamy, have the perfect amount of meat, and have the tastiest egg. Their maki house and dragon rolls are to die for, I always enjoy this place 😋💗

The sushi & other food items are ALWAYS amazing and delicious - honestly, probably some of the best sushi I've eaten. Comparable with Nara but at a more reasonable price. Sadly, though, that fact alone is the only reason we keep coming back because the female staff are BEYOND rude to their customers. I've never eaten there when the cashier or the older lady wasn't just being absolutely impolite and I've been dozens of times. We often go in a group of people, it's a convienient location and of course it truly is so good, otherwise we would simply just go somewhere else. (And may in the future.) I watched the older lady ARGUE with a customer about getting a her order wrong. The person ordered a roll (we order several for our table & share.) and was given a plate of tempora veggies pieces - not a roll. The woman argued and yelled at the customer insisting it was what she ordered even though it wasn't. Other people standing in line backed up what she'd ordered and the lady finally remade the roll but brought it to the table and slammed the plate down and gave a very mean look to the customer. It was just really disappointing to watch a business have such terrible, unprofessional customer service, especially when the food is so good. 😖 Imagine how great this business could be if they'd go by the rule "the customer is always right" simply smile and say thank you for your business. We have just accepted that the younger woman who typically runs the register is rude - which is sad that it's something that we've just come to terms with but the older woman's outright disrespect was astonishing and over an $8...

Our experience here wasn’t great from the start. When we walked in, the place was empty. Which is fine, but there was also nobody there to greet us whatsoever. Not to tell us hello. Not to tell us where to sit. Not to tell us to get lost. Nothing. After about five minutes someone came around from the kitchen and said “you want to eat ?” Lol.

Anyways, moving forward we order appetizers which were the dumplings and spring rolls. And we both got a bowl of Ramen.

Appetizers were fine. No complaints there. Pretty sure they were just frozen little joints, deep fried, but either way they were good.

When the Ramen came out, just by looking at it, you can tell it was bag Ramen. And honestly, I don’t have a problem with bag Ramen. I eat that stuff at home. From the low scale cheap bag Ramen, all the way to the expensive high scale bag Ramen. I’m into it. That being said, had I known that that was what we were being served for $11-$12 a bowl, I would’ve just stayed home.

Just saying. Shouldn’t try to pass it off as “restaurant” Ramen. People who eat bag Ramen at home are going to know that this ain’t the real deal immediately.

My girlfriend, and I never really felt welcome there. Felt like we were in the way of business, even tho they were empty.. and every time we needed something you could see long eyelids and eyeballs rolling. Either way. We won’t be...
