Hair by Daniel — Attraction in Katy

I've been going to this business for almost a year, I've never had problems. Until today.

Read on to see what happened.

7/27/2024 appx 1:30PM CST I was sitting waiting for my turn at a hair cut. The next customer is sat in the barber's chair. There's a Spanish speaking family (possibly Venezuelan migrants) waiting, seated in front of me; a man is waiting to cut his hair with what I assume is his wife and mother in law.

The Vietnamese barber then asked the man how he's going to want to cut his hair. The customer answered in Spanish and admits that he doesn't speak English. The barber tells him to leave and come back Monday because no one in the salon speaks Spanish.

The customer asks the other customers if anyone speaks Spanish. I told him that the barber told him to leave because he doesn't speak English. They seemed offended. Yet the (Venezuelans?) refuse to leave.

A couple of more customers arrive.

The barber then disappears into a room for a several minutes. A Vietnamese female hair stylist that also works there then tells us all to leave because they're done for the day.

I walk up and leave and don't say anything; there's nothing to discuss. America is a free country. I'm obviously upset because I wasted time waiting, but they have a right to service whoever they want and believe whatever they want.

I just know that I was made to waste half an hour for nothing.

Was the barber tired or hungry? Did the barber feel threatened by the new customers that arrived? Does the immigrant barber not like newer immigrants? I don't know. Only the barber knows.

I just wish he would have said he was going to take lunch before I waited half an...

Don't expect any good service from this guy. It's happened to me on countless occasions, that I show up and wait patiently while 3 other people are in line in front of me, and he doesn't greet me or say a word to me to warn me that there could be more ahead of me. Thirty minutes after I've been waiting and it's about to be my turn, someone will walk right in the door, and he'll say "sorry they have an appointment". The last time this happened to me was the last straw. A mother came in with her 3 boys and as he said that to me, she looked at me with a guilty look on her face and said "you go ahead of me". He's rude as you can tell from his exchanges with other upset customers, and he has no idea how to treat people. Congratulations buddy, you won't have me as a customer again.

Edit 8/27: Obviously you don't understand and you never will. Let me write it out more clearly so even you can understand. When you go to the DMV and you're given a number 87, and your number 87 comes up and then they say "sorry there are 10 customers that had prior appointments", that more clearly represents the situation. So, as a special service and an education to you let me offer this as advice! The next time a customer walks in the door, sits down and waits patiently for 30 minutes, some time during that period you can say "someone has an appointment ahead of you!". See how that works? Oh and by the way, I know someone that comes in to your place without an appointment regularly, and you tell the other customers already waiting "sorry he has an appointment". But guess what? He doesn't and never does. Why...

I walked in today with my boys and had about 4 customers ahead of me, so I waited patiently until Tom was ready for me. So I gave him one of my boys and within a couple of minutes Amy was done with her client so it was my other son's turn, but to my surprise, she took the next person in line without asking me! After the client sat down on Amy's chair, I told her that it was my son's turn and the client politely got up and said that he was sorry and offered his seat, but Amy told him "No, sit down!" without even looking at me or talking to me! Tom witnessed that and I asked him what just happened?! He said "don't worry, i'll take care of you". When the time came for me to pay, I brought up the subject again and Tom rudely shut me down saying that Amy asked me two years ago to cut my son's hair and I said no!! Really?! Assuming you have a super human memory and remembered what I said two years ago out of all the thousands of customers that entered your store, it is so rude to ignore my request to have my son take his turn especially after I clearly asked!! In addition to this rudeness, I noticed that Tom's skills have been going going south in the past year or so. It's time for me to take my business somewhere else because this couple obviously don't care about keeping a client or a...
