Do not book with this company. We booked a helicopter tour over NYC when we were in town. 24 hours before we were supposed to be at the airport to take off we got an auto email that stated our flights had been canceled due to "equipment issues" nothing else from the company. Pay attention to the automated cancelation emails that come exactly 24 hours to the minute before check in. Once you get that, you are unable to cancel even if the issue is on their end like it was in our case. Spent over a grand on the flights and were simply told the flights were canceled due to equipment failure that was beyond their control and we were still responsible for the full cost. But if we wanted to come from Texas again to NYC and try again they would give us credit only at that location. Speaking with others that had similar issues, they went back to redeem and were canceled on again. We simply disputed with CC company and got our money back. The credit card company also flagged this vendor and suggested we report. We ended up calling Viator that same day, they got us on a tour, called us with updates and even texted us directions to the pick up location and the pilot and staff were...
Read moreI booked my flight a week in advance just to get rebook last minute without any explanation. Arrived at the center at 7:30am for my early flight just to have to wait without customer service until 8:30am outside the office in cold weather while employees are inside (they claim their open time is 8:30am that day) Try to ask for the soonest flight time since they changed ours from 8am to 12pm flight. Due to our schedule back to our city, we wanted to get the earliest flight available to not ruined our planned day for them to say the earliest flight (10am) is full originally then they said they can add us in that flight for additional $200. Lastly, I tried to call for assistance and that was not helpful when they tried to blame everything on the weather and the customer fault not even trying to coordinate. Wrapping up, I can understand weather can be hard to predict for flying but it's their job to give customer service and resolve their schedule to give most logical changes with professional attitude. I won't recommend New York On Air at all if not to say it's a total scam. Should have see this coming when they don't have the Tripadvisor comments...
Read moreThe pressure to buy the extra 12 minutes that was given to one of the couples in our group was incredibly inappropriate. The person who took us into the glass room to show us the safety video wasn't inviting, he was actually incredibly rude once one of the groups didn't want to buy the extra $50 per person for the extra 12 minutes of flight. I understand this is a business, and you're trying to make the most money possible, but you do that by providing great customer service and the flight, not by pressuring people into doing something they don't want to do. It's called long term vs short term. I had 4 other groups who were interested in coming to fly with NYON until I had told them about how inappropriate that part of the experience was. Now they will be going to use a different company to fly. Besides that the 12 minute flight was all we...
