My Macbook Pro needed help. Suddenly, It stopped charging and turning on. I needed an urgent fix. So I googled and found this repair shop. I brought my Macbook and told him I needed an urgent fix. I told him that if he thinks it will take longer, let me know so I can bring it somewhere else. I texted him after a few days, and he said he was still trying to figure it out. I texted him the next day, but he did not reply. So I went there to pick it up. When I went there, there was another guy fixing phones. He called this guy who was fixing my laptop. He said he was almost done. He will call me later that day. But he never called. I texted him next day, but he did not reply. I was out of town, so I could not go there. After a couple of days, he said he could turn on the laptop. The battery was draining quickly, so he suggested to replace the battery. He told me the battery would come in 1-2 days, and he would be able to change it. Since I already waited, I said okay. It has been a week, and he has yet to update me. I texted him, but he did not reply. So, after a week of our last conversation, I went to that repair shop again. As usual, the other guy was there. He called this guy, but he told me he was working on it. Me: It's okay. Just bring it however it is. Him: I am out of town, and I can't bring it right now. Me: I don't feel good about this situation. Neither did I get any updates on my laptop, nor did you reply to my text. I will call the police if you don't bring my laptop right now. Him: I already bought the parts. Me: Its okay. I will pay you for those parts."= Him: Come back later. Me: No, I am going to stay here. I am about to call the police. Him: I will be there in 30 mins. I waited, and he came within 20 minutes with my laptop and open parts. He showed me that he changed the battery. How do I know that thing is changed? I said okay, whatever. He closed the laptop parts. The laptop turned on, but it was updating. I did not feel like waiting until it finished updating. He had told me it would cost $180 total, but now he is telling me to pay $90. When I dropped my laptop, I took off the cover. It had zero marks and scratches. Now, it has so many scratches on the back and tapes and all kinds of stickiness on the front. I was already done with them, so I did not say anything. I did not want to create any scene. I paid and left. I would not recommend this place for laptop repairs. PLEASE DON'T BRING YOUR LAPTOPS HERE. I regretted not bringing it to the Apple Store or Best Buy. I thought this repair shop would be quicker. I am in graduate school, and all my study materials/files were there. I was terrified. Suggestion to this guy who was fixing my Macbook: If you take someone's property to fix it, it is your responsibility to give them timely updates. Instead, you do not reply to the customer's messages. How can you do that? And telling lies when the laptop is already done. I don't know what was your intention. Please consider this when you deal with other customers.
However, the guy fixing phones...
Read moreI will never do business here again. Iam a military member that has been on several small duties (TDYs) this past month. I asked the gentleman, when I brought my laptop in, if he could replace the internal fan, to which he replied that he could. We never discussed price, but I assumed that it would be around the $100-$150 range since the labor would be the biggest part of it. I've done small electronic repairs before so this type of work isn't new to me, I just didn't have the time nor the tools to do this with. Fast forward a month and a few TDYs. I remember that my laptop is in this shop. No one called me, texted or left any sort of message. I stopped in assuming it should be ready to pick up since it was there a whole month. Not only had the work not been done, but my original power cord was not with my laptop. The clerk said that the laptop was brought to another store and the power cord must've been there. Fast forward two more weeks. I pick up my laptop and there's an internal error code during start up. That code wasn't there prior to me dropping it off. The clerk stated the fan was working now and that the charge was $80. I asked for a discount being that I waited over a month and my cord was lost. The gentleman told me his boss said that was the discount. I advised him that I would not come back to the location and that I would advise anyone else to not give them their business because of their practices. I was very patient with this company. Not...

For anyone looking for quality & competent electronic repairs at a fair price, this should be your first stop. This week, I was facing a dilemma with a broken flash drive where the USB connector had completely broken off of the drive’s memory chip; the flash drive was literally in 2 pieces. Without this repaired effectively, lots of necessary data and files were irrevocably lost. The first local computer repair business I called told me that they stopped doing these types of repairs in January; the second business I went to quoted me an exorbitant price to complete the repair. I then went online and came across Lazoda’s website. Having read the scores of positive reviews about the quality of work done along with fair pricing, I decided to give them a chance. At 4:00 PM, I arrived at the shop, and Amir took a look at the device and said that he’d have it repaired before closing time; true to his word, the device was completely repaired by 6:00…and at a substantially lower price than what Store #2 wanted…for the same repair. I’m not one to usually leave online reviews, but the gentleman (Amir) at Lazoda’s certainly earned these few words regarding his great work. For quality and competent electronic repair at a fair price, be sure to give this...
