To clarify, I am the wife. Elmer wasn’t carrying a purse, but I sure was. I was looking forward to a relaxing afternoon watching a movie with my sister. I had seen this movie but she hadn’t. Upon the purse I inspection I was informed I couldn’t bring a sealed box of cookies I had in my car but tossed in my purse so they wouldn’t melt in the Texas heat. We had already been set back by the ticket scanning process. That defeats purchasing tickets online. In the past my friend & I showed the barcode & transaction number to the employee & we were waived in. I wanted to save the 2 center seats in front of the railing & told the employee that & he yelled,”You can’t take those in there!” I dropped them at the theater door & when I came out less than 30 seconds later they were on the concession counter & he told me to pick them up after the movie. We had purchased the ridiculously priced popcorn & drinks. As we walked out the door to leave the movie, a lady I had never seen before asks me”Is this yours?” I told her they were & thanked her. She told me,”Don’t ever throw anything at my employees again!” I told her I didn’t. She insisted I had and I told her I refused to argue with her because I was THERE and she wasn’t. Very unprofessional! She could’ve discreetly handed the box to me, but instead, she chose to be the judge, jury & executioner in front of the 40-50 people also exiting the theater. As a reminder, a shooting death took place AT THIS THEATER a couple years ago & I never really felt good about going there, but I gave it a chance yesterday. With all due respect, with a life having been lost at this location, I think they have bigger issues and concerns to be focused on rather than a box of filo cookies, which by the way, are very delicate,& had the box been thrown they would’ve shattered & the box would’ve been damaged. They were in tact and the box looked the same as when I purchased it. Not a professional manager!!! Go elsewhere so you can enjoy the movie your hard earned money is paying for. Refuse to put money into her pocket and pay her salary. Too bad that 1 ⭐️ is the lowest review rating, because 1 is very generous.

As a movie junkie, I’m thrilled to know I can now enjoy movies nearby rather than driving into San Antonio or Boerne. I’ve been to the movies at Rio 10, in Kerrville, Texas numerous times before 2020 and twice in 2022, once during the summer and again last Friday evening, both movies were 3D. It is so OBVIOUS Rio 10 has new owners with new management because it’s WONDERFUL! Sound was perfect volume and screen is good with comfy, but older theatre seats. Everyplace is Very clean, and I think they actually recycle cups and popcorn buckets! Fresh & Good popcorn and soda. The employees are obviously trained, professional and attentive to customers. They’re glad to be of service. Tickets can be purchased in advance online and scanned inside rather than waiting in line at the ticket counter. A Big plus is the ticket price for a great movie experience! They limit purse-bag size to 11x11 or 12x12 and do a brief search, which is the norm these days with people shooting their guns at unsuspecting others. I appreciate this step to ensure customer safety. FYI - No movie theatre allows outside food or drinks. Down side, the arm of one Theatre seat in Theatre #1 was broken. Thank you and hats off to owners, manager and staff of Rio 10, Kerrville Texas!

We are visiting from out of town for spring break. The front lobby, hallways and even bathrooms are a ruse! They are all very clean and nice. Walked into theater 10 the first one on the right across from the men's restroom and immediately got hit with the smell of a dead animal. I'm not even joking I wish I was. The seats, carpet, and cup holders were completely disgusting! They have lights so dark at all times so you don't see the filth all around you! You can't tell me there aren't roaches and rats living in this filth. No wonder the parking lot was empty on $3.25 ticket night. If they don't do a DEEP clean and at this point replace all of the seating they will for sure be going out of business soon! We won't be returning!

Ok so there was nothing wrong with the theatre but THE PEOPLE.... Well let's start off the story of what happened. Like every other time we went to the movies, we got all of our snacks and stuff. We were going to pass the counter but someone just HAD to stop us when we showed our tickets, about to pass. "You can't pass with that backpack. Your going to have to put it in your car or leave it behind the counter." I replied to this by saying to search her bag. "You can't bring the candy into the theatres unless you have a receipt." We DID pay for it, we just had to put it in the bag because WE BOUGHT DRINKS AND SNACKS, OUR HANDS FULL. after afew minutes he finally decided we we're fine, BUT GUESS WHAT! WE COULDNT HAVE THE BAG! What could be so bad for them to keep it, what could have been illegal enough for them TO STOP US? Feminine products. A couple of teenage girls couldnt have a bag that had PADS IN IT! FREAKING PADS! And remember how he said "behind the counter" Well apparently that ment on top of the counter. Thankfully the CUSTOMERS were the nice ones and didn't take it. So not only did they put my friends property at risk, the person stopping is was telling at us, being extremely rude. Lucky I'm not as mean of a person, otherwise I'd give a description of who it was. Remember people, this is NOT the place you want to go to or send kids to if your expecting...

I am saddened to leave this type of a review, but I feel I need to warn others. The owner/manager was incredibly harsh. My husband & 2 young children came to see Mario. They searched my purse and of course I was told I wasn’t allowed to bring the bottle of water I had into the theater but that I could leave it on the back counter. I came out of the theater to take a drink of my water as I get very thirsty & got ridiculed by the manager & an elderly woman. (I think his wife?) So even though I followed their rules, I was still threatened to be kicked out because I came out of the theater to take a drink of my water. They stated “we sell water here” but I told them I didn’t want to pay $6 as that was quite steep for a bottle of water. They continued to ridicule me & told me I needed to throw it away or I would be kicked out. So I chugged it & threw my empty bottle into the trash. He continued to ridicule me so I politely reminded him that not everything is about money. He stated “money is what makes the world go round.” Sadly it seems money is all he cares about. I will not be giving them any more of mine. There are way better movie theaters with owners who treat their customers with respect & appreciation for choosing their establishment instead of treating them like criminals for not wanting to purchase their highly priced water. I will not return to...
